Am I the only one to think that Susan is the only one out of the girls that actually has a voice? She's the only one that seems to do/suggest anything at all. All the rest just blend in the background and play the blame game when things go wrong. I can still barely remember all the girls names!

Every task she does something crucial for the win of the task, then something bad.

Task 1: She was shown to be very successful in fruit selling and was the only one seen to negotiate on purchasing and the only one to recognise that they needed to spend more

Task 2: App flap in trying to explain her ideas inarticulately

Task 3: Praised by Nick and her team mates for being a great project manager but failed by paying too much for tea

Task 4: Won the pitch for the tanning products that made most of the money and won the task over estimated the amount they could sell

Is this an on going trend? I like her because she always puts herself forward, and is an interesting person. The others I can't even list a single thing they did. That Zoe girl for PM this week just seemed to go with whatever products Susan said and sat in the background giving treatments - then having a go at Susan for not selling enough when she didn't sell anything.

Susan's been on the winning task every single round, is it because of the good things she says/does?

The edit this year seems to be the worst yet for concentrating on just a few individuals and leaving others out. Thats always been the case for the first couple of shows in a run but it seems to be on going this year.

She's definitely been the most visibly active candidate so far. Clearly she's got skills, it just lacks a bit of control, but being a 21 year old does slightly excuse her naivety.
If the other girls showed as much enthusiasm as she does then alot more things would get done in a task.

It was good of the other team to state Susan as the reason the other team got the spray tan, I feel like too much emphasis was put on her mistake. Not helped by sour-faced Zoe and Helen-bot trying to pinpoint her mistake to the world in preparation for the boardroom.

She does seem to be the definition of what an 'apprentice' should be; young, a bit naive perhaps, but enthusiastic and talented.

But then this isn't really The Apprentice any more, it's The Business Partner, so bizarrely she may have had a greater chance of winning in previous seasons.

I like her though.

On that basis, Stuart should have won last year

The talent is lacking though (in both candidates).

Zoe was lucky to win actually but she looked well smug for no reason. If Felicity had listened to Tom on location and had Melody seling the treatments they would have won comfortably.

No, I think there's one massive difference; one of them was a grade-A bullshi**er, the other isn't.

What did Zoe even do in the task as I completely forgot. All I know was that she was PM....

I'm not a big fan of Susan's but I thought she was treated appallingly by Zoe and the other sour faced one last night. When they ganged up on her and told her 'she'd made her bed' I felt like punching them. Zoe was pathetic. She kept saying 'if that's what Susan thinks' 'I'll go with Susan's expertise' and it was obvious from the start that she was looking for a fall guy in case things went wrong. If I was Alan Sugar I would be watching her very carefully after last night. She really only won by default and was pretty hopeless.

I was really annoyed at that as well. Like when the tanning pitch finished she immediately jumped to Susan and said what do you think, or something along those lines. And when they all ganged up on her, Zoe didn't even do anything constructive! After her little rant she asked Susan to do what she was already doing What did Zoe do anyway? I can't even remember seeing her face when selling anything. What about the nail polish? That didn't do too well, I mean £10 for 1 bottle?

I agree that Susan was set up as a fall guy. But she did make the mistake of telling everyone how good she was and then not living up to the expectations she herself had raised.

She did give very good advice though, she called the right products and got them for the team.

They only over stocked by £80 in the end, and not all that was tanning, some were foot stuff and nail polish.

Zoe was disgusting I thought, she seems to be a horrible person, and only points out the negatives. Leon was right in saying she didn't boost team morale or show any enthusiasm.

Susan was most definitely set up by Zoe, and when the three confronted her, did seem a lot like playground bully tactics. Not only is it rude, but hardly constructive.

I reckon Susan will be the dark horse of the series.

Yeah I would go with that, in all fairness to Susan.

What is better, to make mistakes but be able to learn from them or sit back more often, take no risks and don't grow and change for the better.

I would agree with anyone that Susan has made plenty of mistakes (some of which some have been glaringly obvious) but I do give her kudos for making an attempt to actually be involved in tasks which some of the other candidates (older and more experienced than her) have not been so forward in doing. She's the lamb of the group but clearly not a sheep (but maybe a sheep that is half blind-folded ).

What she needs to do now is put more consideration into her actions and be more measured in her decison making. She may have good intentions (even good ideas) but needs to be more thorough and quicker in the learning process (after having made mistakes). I still think despite her up and down performances she has more future potential than some of the candidates alongside her (in terms of her long-term career)imo.

As PM she made a lot of good choices, including picking the best location and the best products, and reigning in Susan when she wanted to over-spend.

That last bit must have taken courage and integrity. It would have been easy to let Susan have her way, and take the credit as PM if they won or let Susan get fired if they lost. Since Susan was the acknowledged expert on the subject, I doubt anyone would have blamed Zoe for taking her advice.

I was quite impressed by Zoe.

To be fair to Susan in task three the other members of the team got the appointments for her. She also got a great percentage reduction on the tea.

Although Susan was terrible in yesterdays task, a task she should have walked, she has been by far the strongest girl until yesterday. She needs to accept her rollicking, grow up a bit, and get back to the Susan of previous tasks.

I still think she is a major contender and will be there at the end. I would love to see her interviewed by Claude and Borden. I think she would be excellent under their pressure.

I was too. Strong, decisive project management. A real contrast to Felicity's ineptitude.

I think Susan has shown fantastic enthusiasm and I have been impressed by how involved she gets in every task. Her problem is that she is incredibly naive. I think she was very lucky in the task that she won. The other team had 3 items less than she did and she only won by £8. Had she lost, she would have been gone for sure. The price of that tea was ridiculous regardless of how much of discount she negotiated. The fact that she thought she could go in and get for £30 and end up paying £400 just screams that she doesn't have a clue. Perhaps my opinion will differ from others, but in last night's episode she thought she would be the one to win it for her team and wanted more stock to sell. When she wasn't even able to sell all the stock they had, which was less than what she wanted, I think the other girls were right to call on it. Susan has no problems in receiving praise, but she thinks criticism is just a personal vicious attack. Had she waited a few years and matured a little, I think she could have walked to the final. I have a feeling she will mess up majorly on one of the tasks to come, but someone else will get the blame.

I find it hard to disagree with the majority of that. The only issue I have is that with the buying task had they lost it would have been down to where they bought as in those locations you will rarely get a discount. The sub team who found the locations were really more to blame.

The girls were right to call Susan out last night. Some people think they were "picking on her". I think you are right. She does need to mature a little. I think she will be a cracking businesswoman when she has grown up a bit.

But it was a no brainer for the people that were pitching to give the tanning treatment to the team with a cosmetics specialist. Securing the deal would have meant more if the other team also had a candidate with a cosmetics business.

Susan might be very vocal, but I've yet to hear her say anything of value. I still have no idea what her phone app idea was, I wasn't impressed with her negotiating technique and she couldn't sell beauty products (which she is an expert in) last night. If I was her, I'd keep quiet!

It was uncomfortable watching the girls gang up on Susan, but essentially they were right. She messed up and she refused to take responsibility.

She offered all the money they had on them, that is not getting a "great percentage reduction", that is desperation and acting stupid.

Acting like a bully is not normally described as taking courage or integrity. Susan was by that time well aware her sales predictions were wildly optimistic. As a team leader Zoe did not have to publicly remind her it was her fault.


I don't know about you, but I've project managed for real, and that was weak and divisive management. Felicity was inept, I'll give you that.

I was referring to earlier, when they were planning how much to buy, not much later when it became Susan could sell what they'd bought.

Even later, I wouldn't say Zoe was being a bully. She wasn't trying to intimidate Susan. She was trying to deal with the sales problem. Albeit not very well.


It was a low point, but really Zoe's only mistake on that task, and easily understandable when you remember the circumstances (lack of sleep etc).

I think Zoe was an awful pm, she was intimidating rather than encouraging and actually took time out of everyone's day to have a rant. Felicity was right on you're fired that Zoe was just trying to establish a scape goat. Someone like that will never inspire people or be successful in life.

They didn't spend all the money, she was bluffing! They had £2000 to spend, but her team only spent £1300 something.
