On Dragons Den if someone comes on to ask for investment for their company only to later find out theyve got another company on the side thats not part of the deal, they go nuts.

So imagine LS goes into partnership with Susan for their 'new' business, would you want someone who has their eye off the ball cause they are also running their other business?

I don't think that's an issue for the show - after all Susan isn't the only one who already has her own business, Gavin, Melody and Edna all seem to have set up on their own already.

What MAY be an issue is if they have other undeclared interests - but I am sure that as part of their application they had to submit a proposal for the business that they want Lord Sugar to invest in - and I'm pretty sure he's already decided where he wants to put his cash on what has been put in front of him.

I wouldn't mind betting LS has a shortlist of the proposals which really interest him, and he will be watching those candidates closely before he decides who to go for. After all - he is the only one with the firing finger - and only one candidate gets the chop each week so he can save the ones he likes even if they are brought into the Boardroom - especially if the PM bringing them has a proposal he isn't interested in!

Yes, owning a business won't be a problem for Lord Sugar.

And the funny thing is in the boardroom Lord Sug did say that if he wasn't in the business of technology it would be Beauty industry that he like to be in because of, what was it, the profit margins?

So maybe Susan and her existing beauty company would be right up Lord Sugar's street, lol.
(though I doubt now that she will actually win, unless she is amazing on every task from now on, which is prob very un-likely).

I was surprised to hear Sugar say that . He's not the type of guy you'd associate with the beauty industry. Still if he thinks there's large profits to be made, why not.

If Susan does ok in the succeeding tasks maybe he will join her as a partner.

Judging by her performance, I think she's a complete amateur, at most it's a family business and will not have to worry about mum and dad can look after it.

Susan is this years gwok wan/lady gaga, full of tripe, little substance.

Actually last year was very similar gwok wan became PM in a food task, which was supposed to be her forte, and the failed miserably charing £1.80 for a wholesale serving of white bread.

This year susanne passed herself as the skincare guru, advising everyone on volumes, but she was completely out of her depths.

Didn't he try the beauty business before? I seem to recall the first winner, Tim, was to run some sort of skin care product division for him.

I don't really understand this whole partnership deal this year. What if the winner wants to sell a range of shoes for monkeys. Would Sugar still go ahead?

And why have all these candidates entered if they already have "successful" businesses? Why go to the trouble of starting from scratch again and then end up giving half the money to Sugar?

I can't help but feel that it's an easy get-out for Sugar so he can say things like "after due diligence" or "the proposal didn't quite come up to scratch" and then wash his hands of it.

I think that CaroUK's suggestion that they've already put forward proposals makes sense now I think about it.

I'm not so sure, she does a lot of good things on the show, and for me she's the only memorable on because none of the others do anything. Lord Sugar likes a doer not a spectator.

I dont think that would be fair. Its possible that they have given proposals but I doubt that LS has seen them. They have to be judged by the tasks or what is public knowledge about them not about what they would do afterwards with the money
