Are The Live Shows Going To Be More About The Judges Than The Acts?

It seems that way to me. After all, this series has been more about how the new-look judging line-up would work than about the acts.

But there's going to be even more focus on the judges on the live shows for the following reasons:

The long-awaited return of Simon.
The Hoff vs Simon in a clash of egos.
Amanda's performance on Tuesday.
Wether Michael will be as good on the lives as he has been during the auditions.
The standard of acts doesn't look too great.

What's your opinion? Will the live shows be all about the judges, or will the acts pull something special out of the bag to tell everyone that the show should be about them and not the judges?

You forgot the big one: I think a few people will tune in to see if Simon remarks on the situation surrounding Cheryl Cole on The X Factor. Hence the news has been 'released' now.

I think the live shows will be a little bit "more about the judges" this year. Partly because the standard of acts means it kind of has to be, and partly because new judges this year requires a new rapport with the audience.

Probably, after all X Factor has gone that way so why not BGT.
