Hmmm though. Can't fathom the chipmunks. One of them has geek glasses and a hat, but another one has a bandana and is bigger, making it look like a lead singer.

Can't see them (Voodhoo Hussy, not the Chipmunks) on the Birmingham Pride site, though it does say that they are initial bookings; I see that Jo O' Meara is there, hopefully looking a bit less depressed than last time I saw her.

At least it means I will never have to buy any.

Lead singers are always larger, of course.

I can't believe that Lucozade thing. They had a talented, good looking band who can skate and who are just about to get tv exposure and thought they might hold out for...what? Cheryl Cole, suddenly unemployed?

Perhaps the talented part didn't matter (would they be playing one of their own songs?) and the looks weren't mainstream enough?

It is a shame, though.

It is indeed a huge shame, Shabby is understandably gutted, but I guess at least it was an achievement to get down to the last stage. When it comes to advertisers, clearly they're looking for something very specific to reflect whatever image or message they believe will best represent, and sell their brand - talent/substance & charisma are probably largely irrelevant. I guess VH just weren't the right band to front their new campaign in the most suitable way - no more, no less.

It still sucks though... hope this isn't too much of a set-back for them, and their determination to tour and record an album this year is still strong.

So Shabby is pinning her hopes on the meeting this wednesday regarding the 'secret project' she's been working on with Cheryl...

I know she's tweeted similar ideas of running away to become a surfer bum/hippy several times before, but is she more than half serious? (I do hope not... even more reason to will the universe to grant her this one epically important wish... )

Least we can do. I confess that I am not absolutely confident she will turn up though. I have already had to vow to boycott diamonds after reading a report about deBeers, now I have to boycott Lucozade as well. Since I have never bought either, that will be equally easy.

I think the team played a few matches but Shabby hung around for only one so did not get to play with Nikki. As she put it herself on Twitter,
