I thought the same. Not Keef the 2011 tortoise's scrotum face you understand, but young and beautiful Keef.

Just me or would it make a great cover for a solo album/CD?

It does look very like an album cover.

Hmmm... so the big meeting for the secret project was cancelled to be rescheduled, and both Shabby and Cheryl sound very deflated. REALLY hope they're not on the verge of giving up

I think they've been looking to work on one of their own film/TV Apocalypse Club projects together for a while now (2 or 3 of years maybe?), and so far haven't managed to find investors. But breaking through in the creative industries can take an awful long time and if I've interpreted Shabby's tweets correctly, the origins of this current project only go back to earlier this year, and they've had all-positive meetings/feedback so far... it would be such a waste to give up now, surely??

They haven't been given a reason, or a new date yet but I do wonder wether Shabby's new C5 show has anything to do with it... perhaps the way she comes across in the show and her potential popularity/unpopularity with viewers and press may affect her chances of being commissioned to make her own new BBC show?

I though shabby was ok with things earlier (14 hours ago) when she tweeted: "Do not be undone Arnold... I figure the universe is telling us to sack off the media fat cats and go old school on this s***".

Yes, but seemingly not so much this evening :

@Scentnoodle I just feel so deflated right now... And if I'm honest... A little bit lost x x”

...And Cheryl sounds even more disillusioned in her tweets...

No one deserves to have two knock-backs in a week. Can we club together and buy BBC3 and stop them being so arsey?

I don't mean to damn Arnold with feint(?) praise but BBC3 have a nerve to turn anything down given most the piffle they show.

Em, it does say something when Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps (please) is your flagship show.

Shabby having a little pictorial VH nostalgiafest on Twitter today.

http://yfrog.com/user/Shabby_VH/photos

And a promise of some audio goodies as well.

"At Liz's listening to @voodoo_hussy demo circa 2008... Considering putting the tracks online..."

"We've no internet here but I shall get the old demos up asap."

Was it not? Thought I saw a tweet mentioning it.

Glad to see that they now seem to be trying to work out a different approach and new ideas rather than becoming too disheartened. Love Shabby's idea of a doc about the struggles of being a rock band in today's musical climate.

Always pleased to hear VH news morsels, and enjoyed the early band pics. As gutting as it obviously was to lose out on the Lucozade ad, seems it may have been the catalyst to the reinvigoration of the band... that long-awaited album and new gig dates are now looking almost like certainties!

Not so sure about the hair hacking though... never too keen on the idea of clippers anywhere near Shabby's head TBH... Only pictorial evidence of a botched eyebrow thus far so hope the booze didn't lead to anything too extreme

I think that idea has a lot of potential.

Indeed, they were talking about that -- the difficulties faced by rock / guitar bands today -- on 6 Music last night, and it seemed ... they didn't really know, beyond thinking it was difficult.

Her haircuts always seem disasters to her but look fine to me.

Though sooner or later, the messing around she does with hair is about to go at least a bit wrong.

Noooooooooo, not Shabby's hair, drunk people and clippers.

How mixed are those old photographs? The only consistent thing seems to be that Liz is always laughing and the drummer always looks pissed off.

Shabby now asking on Twitter for requests for their album. (Voodoo Hussy tracks, not cover versions of Jess Conrad's 'This Pullover', tempting though it is).
