Well it tastes pretty rank, so cheap produce = lots of profit.

Markup on drinks.
Plus 6.99 menu price per adult means the food probably costs about 2.00 per large serving. i.e. it's crap. |

There's nowt wrong with the Pizza Hut salad buffet. It is the pizzas that are rubbish.

They get you in and hope you'll like it, then later purchase takeaway or return for meals etc.
The pizza/pasta doesn't cost that much to make. it's lunchtime only so they hope you aren't that hungry. They also sell drinks, sides and desserts which will be highly profitable. |

I have had a buffet meal from Pizza Hut a few times and I couldn't eat as much as I wanted, I always wanted to get up and get more but felt guilty when people saw you getting up again for more and more. It ended up with me just having a few slices and then pretending I was full.
I could have taken whole pizzas though if I wanted

Judging by the size of the people I see frequenting it, you having seconds would be the least of their concerns!

Aren't drinks refillable, or is that just in the evenings?

Yeah, but it's still £2 or so for a Coke. Unless you're drinking 10 of them they're making a massive profit.

I think it's just under two quid. I always get at least two refills. Been to the buffet once and wasn't keen. No cheesy bites!

My husband used to work in the kitchen when he was at uni. He says it is day old dough, only two toppings per pizza and always the cheapest toppings like pepperoni, ham, onion and rarely chicken.

Ultimately when it comes to food, you get what you pay for. I'd far rather pay £8 for a proper pizza in a good quality pizza restaurant, than stuff my face on the sub standard pizza and salad in a Pizza Hut buffet.

Why have so many people bothered to post in this thread just to moan about Pizza Hut? If you don't like it, fine, but that's not what this thread is about.
