Titanic ratings ploy.

Just a theory, but do you remember when James Camerons'Titanic was first released?
The film was publicized on how it was bound to be a financial disaster given filming costs..

Well,BGT may be being sold by it's producers by how bad it is.They spent the first segmnet of tonights show proving how BAD the dearth of talent is.
Then,in this artistically recessional year, they play off two of the best acts against each other, and call back an act given unanimous panel rejection and an audience bronx cheer.

Prepare for a Cowell week of decimation, culling and cruelty and lots of Coldplay-backed slo-mo crying....

A better ratings ploy might have been to put some talented acts through, because as it is they just haven't given the public any reason to carry on tuning in. Many people will have stuck with it so far in the hope that things will improve, but that prospect's gone now as we've seen all the acts.
