Yes it's a copy and paste job gone wrong!

On this Friday's Gold Football Phone-In, Tom said that Bomber will be having some more treatment on his hip (I can't remember if he said he was in for another operation or if he had gone back into hospital for another reason) and is in some pain. Hopefully he'll be over the worst of it sooner rather than later.

Even though I'm not an Albion fan, Bomber is one of my favourite co-commentators on the radio, he has a lovely sense of humour and is always enjoyable to listen to. Get well soon Tony - the Baggies need you!”

Thanks for the reply and sorry not to answer you sooner. Poor old Bomber, I know how he feels as I am having problems with my back and hips at the moment. I haven't been able to listen for a couple of weeks so not sure if he is back, but have to agree that he is one of the nicest co~commentators on the radio (though as a Baggies fan I am biased), he is the first to say if the Baggies are not playing well. Hope you feel better soon Bomber, we do need you.

On Friday between 16:00-19:00, there's a Drive Time: Euro 2012 Draw Special hosted by Adrian Durham alongside Stan Collymore and Matt Holland with Sam Matterface reporting from Kiev. Clearly, Collymore won't be involved if he's still off sick but I'd imagine that someone like Alvin Martin will be on if he can't do it. Matterface's involvement in Kiev next week means that Nigel Pearson will be on commentary duty for Aston Villa v Manchester United on Saturday night.

And as I understand it, talkSPORT's next commentary games in the Champions League will be Olympiakos v Arsenal (Tuesday) - although I'd hope this would change to Chelsea as Arsenal's game is pretty meaningless - and FC Basel v Manchester United (Wednesday)

John Hartson was due to be on 5Live at the Swansea game but he went home as he couldn't cope with the tragic news about Gary Speed. Perfectly understandable.

Nigel Adderly is reporting on his own.

I was out when I heard the news and listened to Talksport from 12:30 to 1:30pm. Thought Alan Brazil held himself together very well and heard Roger Hughes condolences to a brilliant Gentleman. Sam Fleet (from the Liberty Stadium) & John Keith (Anfield) echoing everyone's sadness on RTE Radio 1.

Absoltely shocking about Gary Speed, some lovely tributes on the radio today. I can't believe I was only watching him on Football Focus yesterday

RIP Gary

West Yorkshire Sport on BBC Radio Leeds is being presented by Neil Rudd, presumably on loan from Radio Humberside, who I think was expecting to be doing music and score updates show but has ended up with a Gary Speed tribute programme. Derm Tanner contributing via ISDN and bits from Adam Pope and Dave Callaghan on the phone. Also nice to hear newsreader Clive Settle doing some presenting again.

I put talkSPORT on not long after hearing the sad news and I want to echo what you have said really, collectively they did well under horrible circumstances.

Their co-commentator at the Liberty Stadium today Bobby Gould, who was Gary's manager with Wales for a period I believe, was clearly very upset but did well to keep it together during what must have been a very difficult game for him to broadcast from. Credit also to Sam Matterface whose commentary reflected the sombre mood and I'm sure he will have helped Bobby get through the 90 minutes.

I thought Graham Beecroft, who was reporting from the later game and knew Gary through his time at Everton, gave a fitting tribute and from the little I heard of his phone-in Jason Cundy did a good job of hosting that show with the required sensitivity. I'm sure all of the individuals and stations covering sport on this particularly sad day for football will have handled Gary's death with the care and sensitivity it required.

606 was heartbreaking to listen too last night. Robbie Savage was in tears through some of it, I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for him. Much respect to Robbie.

To add to the Absolute details from Saturday, Perry Groves joined Russ in the studio during the live coverage (and was later seen as the studio pundit on Sky Sports' Football First) while Ian Wright hosted the post-match phone-in alongside Ian Moore, who is a stand-up comic. I believe it was his first go at being Wrighty's co-host.

Mike Sewell was doing updates during the Monday Night Club on 5 Live.

Incidentally, I was flicking around the stations whilst in the car this evening, and heard Sam Matterface on TalkSport saying that Stan Collymore will be returning to work this week. He's working for Five on Wednesday night covering Spurs v PAOK in the Europa League, and will then be at the Euro 2012 draw for TalkSport on Friday as originally planned, before commentating on Villa v Man Utd and hosting Call Collymore on Saturday.

I'll be honest, Stan has never been one of my favourtie pundits, but I've gained a huge amount of respect for him after reading what he's been going through. It takes a great amount of courage to be as open and honest about his problems as he has been in the past few days, and I truly hope he can conquer his demons.

Firstly, I want to say congratulations to the team on 5Live for commentating under very difficult circumstances on Sunday, and Robbie Savage (and I am not normally a great fan) for his programme on Sunday evening, his distress was obvious in every word he spoke.

If I could touch on something The Difference was commenting on a few pages ago re: speedway coverage on Radio WM. My husband is a speedway fan, going to Monmore Green most Tuesday nights during the summer to watch Dudley Heathens, he also sometimes goes on a Monday to watch Wolverhampton Wolves, I would go but for the fact that I am a greyhound racing fan and it's usually on Sky on Tuesday nights, so I listen to the coverage on WM and it is frankly excellent. It is definitely something that local radio is made for and I hope with the cuts that are planned, Radio WM does not drop or cut their speedway coverage, although I fear they probably will.

Mark Saggers presenting Kick-Off alongside Ray Houghton

Carling Cup Quarter Finals
Arsenal v Manchester City - Mike Bovill
Cardiff City v Blackburn Rovers - Roger Hughes
Chelsea v Liverpool - Ian Abrahams

Middlesbrough v West Ham United - Graham Courtney
Millwall v Doncaster Rovers - Tony Incenzo
Nottingham Forest v Leeds United - Nigel Pearson
Reading v Peterborough United - Toby Gilles
Southampton v Hull City - Elliot Cook
Watford v Bristol City - Dave Rowe

Ian Abrahams is back having missed the weekend's games after the death of his father late last week. Ian has been on compassionate leave from his morning sports news shifts over the past few days too. I guess he was due to be at Chelsea v Wolves for them on Saturday, which was instead covered by talkSPORT newcomer Elliot Cook, who looks to be sharing their South Coast reporting duties with fellow new addition Toby Gilles.

Since no-one's put up Five Live details from last night, I can give a couple:

Chelsea v Liverpool - Darren Fletcher

I can't remember who was where, but Peter Slater and Andy Gillies were also involved last night.
