Her performance was cool. She did look comfortable and her vocals will get better the more she performs, so I'm not worried. I won't lie, though. I expected a couple of dance steps to showcase the beat a little I hope she nails it at the Billboard Awards. She has to be a true show stopper tomorrow

Oh further off than I thought, though May is rapidly going by and the album is in September right?

I am really enjoying Big Hoops The Bigger the Better and I thought that Nelly's live performance on Alan Carr Chatty Man was superb.

Is the single for Big Hoops The Bigger the Better still going to be released on 3 June 2010?

Also will the single be released on CD and available to buy from a high street shop such as HMV?

I have an HMV in Colchester where I will buy Nelly Furtados single on CD.

Nelly's Billboard performance here

I thought it was okay, she should have commanded the stage more, could do with a bit more dancing from her, the whole performance could have been so much more (e.g. big grand entrance on stilts). Vocally she was sound though.

Nelly was on Jay Leno yesterday night. She did a great job

http://thatgrapejuice.net/2012/05/ne...-tonight-show/

I personally loved her BBMA's performance. I thought it was a good return. And I'm really glad she's getting some promotion. Hope 'Big Hoops' keeps rising on radio like it's currently doing. It will probably be in the top 40 on the US airplay chart next week

The single EP is doing well on the pre-order chart, i'm thinking this could be a top 10 for Nelly in the UK

Isn't the single released tomorrow in the UK? I hope it does well! Is it getting any rotation or radio?

The single is out tomorrow officially, yeah!

Radio 1 are giving it some circulation, Scott Mills is lapping her up on his show, so she is out there. Not sure about Capital though

After being unsure of Big Hoops when I first heard it, I love it now. I hope it makes top 10 at least.

Got to #14 in the end! Awww, well she has been away for 4 years so getting top 20 is pretty good. Song is definitely a grower - cant stop singing it now!

Any news on single 2? Nelly's got to keep the pace going now.

Its holding considerably well on iTunes though so its making quite the impact with very little airplay or promo

And apparently according to Wiki so not official The Spirit Indestructible interesting title so interesting to see how it sounds will it be anthemic like Firework etc or atmospheric and hip-hop esque ?

And what does everyone thing about Something is it just the b-side or also on the album personally its a grower not as good as hoops but nice use of old skool hip-hop again.

I won't lie. I'm a little disappointed about the single's peak. I expected low top 10. It's definitely a slow burner, but with the decent airplay she got from Radio 1 and teh good promo she had booked, I thought it was going to make it into the top 10. Still, if she manages to stay in the top 20 for 3 more weeks, it will be a good enough foundation for the 2nd single to do much better

I hope she releases the 2nd single next month. US radio is not embracing 'Big Hoops' ( ).

Yeah, it's not taking a huge tumble like other singles that have debuted.

The Spirit Indestructible...unusual to get the album title track released as a single so i wonder what sound she'll go for. It'll be surefire top ten if it's anthemic.

Do we have an idea what the overall sound of this album is going to be? Is Nelly moving into Maneater electro territory or Big Hoops hip hop? I'm only a casual Nelly fan but I bought Loose in a sale so can finally listen to it in full today.

A little bit of both, if the line-up of producers and songwriters is anything to go by. She'll obviously have hip hop elements (Salaam Remi, Nas), but she'll have some electropop tracks as well (Darkchild, The Demolition Crew)

It's holding sop hopefully will get at least over 100,000K.

And well the b-side is in the vein of Big Hoops its very reminiscent of old skool hip-hop from the late nineties early noughties with perhaps some dub or D&B so not much like Loose i don't think.

The Demolition Crew?! *instant excitement* After Madonna's Gang Bang, I have huge hopes for them.

Nelly performed The Spirit Indestructible in Sweden yesterday. There only seems to be a LQ snippet in circulation but from what I can hear it's pretty great! Listen here
