I hope 'PL' becomes a hit and pushes the album. Obviously the album was never meant to be a blockbuster million seller, but it's currently selling very poorly and it deserves much more attention. If only the label weren't so obsessed with 'Loose' 2.0. and promoted all the other sides of the album as opposed to just the urban songs. She gave them a really diverse album and they just took the Darkchild tracks and released them in a random order hoping one of them would become the 2012 version of 'Promiscuous'. I hope we get one more single/ video after 'PL' so that the general public can really grasp the versatility of the album
'Parking Lot' could do well. But no one can accuse Nelly of not promoting properly (if that were a reason for low sales) because she's done quite a bit of promo this year, especially in the UK. So it would mean promoting 'PL' massively. Loose Women, This Mornng, Chatty Man, Graham Norton etc. Time will tell!

I think this will be one of those albums where in years to come, people are gonna think "this is album rocks, why was it underrated at the time". Just a feeling personally

I hope Nelly does a tour next year. Would love to see her present this era live.

I've noticed that physical copies seem only available in HMV. I've not seen it on offer in any supermarket I've been in including ASDA, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Morrisons. What on Earth is the distribution department playing at?

I bought my copy yesterday only issue my cds are falling out of the cardboard case already But other than that on second listen it clicked and its a fantastic follow up deserves to be a smash but i'm content that we have a solid follow up that harks back to old Nelly with plenty of new Nwlly thrown in there two she outdid herself truly has.

And i saw it in Tesco yesterday if i recall.

Hoping the album is in the official top 10. Not sure though. It's an incredible album!

I would have thought that it would have been easier for it to chart in the top 40 with so low sales...but alas....

Ah well

Ah well
Sales have been steadily increasing over the past weeks the top 2 this week were 75,000+ some of the biggest sales of the year.

6 and a half years though she kind of sealed it for herself music has moved on hugely and artist like her are no longer respected or viable so i am just happy with an incredible album

Thought I'd revive the thread for any Nelly fans excited for The Ride.

The Ride is Nelly's 6th Studio and 5th English language album due 31st March 2017. Lead single Pipe Dreams is on youtube and its rather great.
