He cant sing, and no one is telling me that if he was any good at playing the guitar that he would have given it up to run a pub.

In response to your thread title - I liked him.

Felt a bit sorry for him when his voice cracked completely in the middle though - amazed the judges seemed oblivious to this.

The pub he runs is not that far from me, but I am only going to go in if he is NOT singing, as in all honesty, I thought he was crap.

He was one of those acts that if you saw him at your local working man's club and they asked a fiver to get in, by the 2nd song you would be asking for your money back.

Thought he was really poor

It was like a drunk old uncle going up on stage with an old guitar at a karaoke club, embarassing and just plain bad

I think he would of been better with a more uptodate song.

Herbie was awful. Couldn't sing a note.

He would have been better without his guitar and perhaps without his mike

One of the worst I've ever seen.

He should put a sock in it. Someone should have shouted 'get off'.

He has by far the worst done the worst peformance of he series so far!

I liked him. Like Amanda said "he's cute". Which is an odd thing to say of a 60 something man! I didn't like his performance but I was hoping the judges wouldn't buzz him and I don't think they did because they knew it would crush him. He was awful though. Sorry Herbie

He was a nice man but I turned over to EastEnders at that point because it was so bad

I can't help but find him endearing and he is likeable. But he's not a good singer.

i found him likeable and i bet 20/30 years ago he had a great voice

but his voice is gone now. Doesnt mean he should stop singing as you can tell hes got a real passion and love for it.

But his days of winning talent contests are sadly behind him.

Herbie was frightful. Should have had four buzzers.
