Totally agree.

Wagner was made into a joke by the X-Factor producers as they gave him rubbish songs to perform which were way out of his comfort zone. And for some reason people thought it would upset Simon Cowell to vote for him (whereas Simon couldn't care less who you vote for as long as you spend money voting......)

Jean is a talented musician, she's doing what she has been doing very well for years and she does what people on stage are meant to do - she entertains. IMHO you simply can't compare her with Wagner.

Jean has a happy heart - and is just a joy to watch. She's way and above my favourite finalist so far.
batman.

It's not really the majority though, otherwise she would have topped the vote.

"You've Been Framed" showing a cat fall behind a sofa can be entertaining but there are different degrees of entertainment, also degrees of talent.

Jean has some talent and some people find her entertaining, but to consider her as in any way good enough for the biggest variety show in TV* says a lot for some peoples quality control standards.

*Not BGT, the Royal Variety Show.

What's wrong is that she is a keyboard player who can't play in time. That is a minimum requirement.

Would people think the Illusionist were great if they were unable to get in an out of the box?

So why is watching an untalented, incapable act so highly praised in this country?

Truth is we like crap in this country whilst everywhere else rewards real talent.

We are an embarrassment to the rest of the world.

BGT audience is a less than a 5th of the UK population, a large chunk of those watching never even vote for the acts.

People who do vote in BGT are simply not representative of the UK population as a whole.

UK entertainment acts are some of the biggest in the world and have been for decades.

BGT is just a TV show, no more representative of the UK than "You've Been Framed" or the Jeremy Kyle Show.

It matters not at all.
