I am looking for a DVD recorder/ divx / hard disk player can anyone help me because ive spent aboot a week looking for one and cant find it, lol. I seen one but it was £ 600! or some shit like that and I don’t have that kind of cash.

To be honest, I'd hang on for 12/18 months.

Grab a cheap (sub £200) DVD recorder for now (You'll never want to look at VHS again!!), because in the next year or two, the prices are going to go through the floor. What you will pay upwards of 400 quid now you'll pay half or less for the same or better spec in a year or two.

I've not yet come across a DVD recorder that has DivX playback, though you can now pick up DVD players that will play DivX and all it's variants for under 50 quid.
