It was confirmed on DS today.

Really gutted - she was the absolute heart and soul of ITT and I can't imagine it without her.

Hopefully we might see her in future years, and they replace her with somebody who loves it as much as she seems to.

There is no point in continuing that show, she is simply irreplacable. She's still doing the results show from what I've heard.

I also heard about her doing the results show too. At least. Sad she is defiinately not doing ITT though. Can't think of a decent replacement though

Out of the frying pan into the fire... Claudia should go from hosting the spin-off show to competing in the main show?!

Anton and Erin would be grt as a replacement to Claudia , a natural progression for them

The way i see it is if the whole SCD dynamic has a dramatic revamp.

Only just seen this - gutted! I loved ITT almost more than the main show!
I can't imagine anyone else bringing as much fun and personality to the show. It is one of the reasons Strictly is so popular. You got much more involved in everything because of ITT. Hopefully whoever takes over can do well - would be impossible to be better!

I must've missed this and I'll miss the old gal! But can understand why she's not doing it. Wonder if she asked if she could just give it a miss this year- surely she could do it next year? I'm going to put Miranda Hart into the equation. She's a Strictly addict, she's been doing a bit of radio presenting recently and she was pretty good at it, and she's got the goofy personality that this type of show needs. I think she'd be good!

Winkers will be woefully missed.

Perhaps she is staying home with marmite on toast.

As far as I remember, Claudia said she is only missing this year because her baby will be very young and she doesn't want to leave it at home while she does ITT. She has said that she will be back next year. She is doing the Results Show every Saturday. I doubt that Miranda would be able to do it, sadly, as she will be busy recording her own show at the same time as Strictly is on. One of the reasons I suspect she's not doing Strictly herself. I believe the BBC are quite keen to get her.

Ah I see. I'm not familiar with Miranda's show, just see her on Strictly each year! Glad it's only one year without Claudia. What's the betting the Beeb have a different past contestant each week on ITT or something like that? Bit like Have I Got News For You!

Has she said she is coming back next year? Happy days!

Claudia not on ITT

I think a good replacement would be Sue Perkins ( maybe also with Mel who she often partners with)

Both are funny, great at ad libbing and good presenters

Claudia's going to present SCD Results, she left ITT 'cause she's pregnant. Not because she thought it was getting tired or anything.

I've just realised Wildcat - looking through your post history, you seem to be very fond of axing Strictly:

Quote:
“to be honest this show (ITT and SCD) is approaching the end of its lfe and the beeb need to strart developing the new breed of saturday night entertainment TV to replace these progs soon, so i say...

dont care - its ONLY a tv show - get a grip people

ooh rumour and tittle tattle - why people are still posting here is beyond me - the series finished months ago so this thread shoukd be dead - saddos posting why?

isnt all this a bit too desperate though? cant we just take a break for 6 months and leave this forum alone until the next season starts?

this programme is now dead for 9 months - so this forum should be too.

Why post about a tv show that is no longer on? thats a lot sad really

its just a very very very small part of a tv show that is no longer beingshown - why dont you all just forget about the last 10 seconds of a show that is no longer on and GET A LIFE...

this will make NO DIFFERENCE Get a life

so why are people posting crap on this part of the forum? sad individuals really

So many open thread, so little to discuss

the programme series is over, so its time to shelve this, and move on”

Why do you keep posting in the SCD forum? You clearly dislike the show and really shouldn't get so worked up about it as to repeatedly come in to talk about a show you think nobody should be talking about. Rather strange really, I just ignore shows I dislike

To answer your point fairly though last season SCD obtained it's highest ever audience figures. Every week, each episode of ITT ranked in the top 15 programmes aired on BBC - mostly in the top 10, sometimes being 2nd ranked programme of the week.

So, not getting tired at all and in fact hugely popular with a great viewing demographic as well. Whoever gets the ITT job this year whilst Claudia's taking a break is going to be carrying BBC2's most popular entertainment show - not a bad gig

Great that she'll be back next year, but she'll be truly missed on ITT this year. I'm so jealous of her baby getting to see her for all that ITT time, lol.

The show is ok, but boring now - its been there and done that and its time to move3 on.

but i post in here because my point is as valid as any other point made on here - except most people seem to ignore that fact

I don't think you realise we care about this show - and we are posting in it more and more since a new series is coming up.
I respect your views, but you don't need to keep spamming them and getting banned for it!

If the show bothers you too much, just ignore it and play with your dolls or whatever you do. Simple!
