BGT - Semi-final 3 - 1 June - Discussion thread
So we are at the third semi-final, at 7:30pm once again tonight, and the following acts are performing:
Abyss Angela & Teddy The Circus of Horrors Gay and Alan James Hobley Les Gibson Wachiraporn Tirpak Jay Worley My money's on Jay Worley, James Hobley, Les Gibson or maybe Abyss, or even the Circus of Horros to get through. I think they can let a child through to the final, so what if he is 11? And Jay, he's 18, as far as I can see, he has had many shots at fame and this may be his last. It does depend on their performances tonight. |

Doesn't seem so good tonight. Looks like a pretty weak semi IMO

At least some acts could get into the final easily.

Can only remember a couple of those (Wachiraporn and James) and that was mainly for the wrong reasons.

Well, Wachiraporn made me laugh at the audition, her mother 'As long as you don't get naked it's OK' something like that, and MIchael making fun of her name 'Waching porn!?'
And with James, at least he is a different kind of dancer to what we have seen. |

Les Gibson is brilliant - he will get to the final and is a potential winner. Not interested in any of the others though.

I might not even watch, they might just end up hyping up an act to the death, so there is no other choice that the public can make.... so they NEED to back who the judges do
![]() The voting public are not very smart sometimes. We will have a bunch of singers and piano players in the final. |

![]() The voting public are not very smart sometimes. We will have a bunch of singers and piano players in the final. I'm going to say, Jay Worley and James Hobley, one more singer and a dancer? I just think Jay needs a shot. So we have: - A young singer - A young boyband - A pianist - An enthusiastic pianist So they are similar in one way or another but I will agree with the fact that different acts need to be in the final. It does seem like the act that Simon praises the most out of all the acts usually would win the public vote, like he did with Ronan and New Bounce. No one knows what would happen. We could expect a quick-fire buzzer from Simon during Gay & Alan's handbell ringing, he said so in the news 'No more bell-ringers, they drive me mad!'. I would wonder how Simon would make fun of Wachiraporn, I would highly doubt he'd be able to say it the first time. |

If another piano based act gets in the final i will most certainly not watch it. Jean is not even talented, just nuts. I doubt shes the one even playing, as in its recorded before hand.

I'd say Abyss could be dark horses here. They're the only street dance troupe to have made the semis this year, so fans of the art would have no choice but to vote for them if they want that kind of act to win.
I expect Circus of Horrors to be buzzed by Simon but still do well. Jay to sing very well and get praised very highly, Les to do very well but not as good as Paul Burling and thus disillusion the audience and James to be the judges favourite of the night and thus go straight through from the public. |

Why is the thread at the down of the page?
Anyway, lots of people have some good predictions as to who will go through and who will get buzzed. Jay and James to go through, Circus of Horrors to get buzzed, even if they were good in the audition, I bet Simon might think too much is going on at the same time. Keep in mind, in 2009 we had a bunch of singers in the final, Susan Boyle, Shaun Smith, Shaheen Jafargholi and Hollie Steel. So one was 48, one was 17, one was 12 and one was 10. This year we'll probably have an 18 year old, 12 year old, a boyband and maybe Jai? I am safe to say no more pianists. We need a variety act, James, Les and Abyss are the ones who could give us that. |

And like New Bounce, they were OK in the audition but off-key, and last night they were phenomenal, so hopefully Abyss step-up. Maybe it was up a little early, 8:30 am but needed somewhere for people to discuss the acts that are on tonight. I'll be making the threads for the next two semi-finals and the final if that's OK with you lot. |

James Hobley really isn't very good though.
Delete the backstory, and (coming from an ex-ballet dancer), as he's billed as a ballet dancer, he really is not terribly good. Sorry. |

There are plenty of threads to discuss who is in the semi finals out there And also if you must set up the rest of the series threads, do it about 1 or 2 hours before the show starts so it's not lost in the shuffle and relegated to the bottom of page 2 |

I'm in two minds how many times I should vote for Les Gibson. If he gets a later slot then he has a good chance making the final.

Simon will buzz Circus of Horrors citing that too much is happening, but really it will be because if they win he won't be able to manage them, because they don't need him!
Who is tonights guest performer? That is the only thing keeping me interested for the results show. |

Don't want to get shot down in flames but...Hassaan...why do you start threads and then not contribute whilst the show is on??
Might be nice to let someone who actually stays around to contribute whilst the show is on, the chance to start a thread. |

Which ones the singer and which one is the kid? As we might as well forget anyone else. (Oh unless there is someone bashing an instrument out of time)
If there is a kid singer who bashes his organ then there is no point in even voting. |
