As the title says.
With so many kiddy winks getting the public vote time and time again is it time we had a different show for kids? |

Would we then need another show for the elderly .... and then the dogs etc etc? I like the fact there are no restrictions on who can enter, that is supposed to be the main part of it.
Why do people get so upset at a child getting through? None have won yet so they aren't exactly stealing the votes from more worthy. |

think we should have a singing version of xfactor for the kids, the BGT for all ages is ok as it means mixed groups like diversity can enter, also its talent. if you look in past most kids who entered where singers so have a seperate one for that
Since hollie steel its changed alot. they need bettert organising |

Yes there should be a seperate sow for kids - I'd say about 15 and under.
With mixed groups of adults and kids - into the adult show (as long as most of the kids aren't 4 or 5) Someone should do a poll on should Jean be in the final and see what the verdct is on DS. |

Definitely - 16's and under for the 'Kiddies got talent' show (you may as well drop the 'Britain' bit), and 17's and over for the rest in 'Who's got talent and is happy to travel to Britain to prove it' show.

I voted no. It would be truly unbearable to watch.

No. Not only would it be completely unfair on kids who actually are talented, because they'd be forced to compete against kids relying on the 'cute' factor (a problem which is overestimated on BGT - yeah, the odd few get through, but I don't see the awful Robbie and Lucy anywhere), but the logic is flawed. What about people like Diversity and Spelbound; mixed age groups in which all ages rely on their talent rather than looking cute?
I don't see how Jean is intrinsically more worthy of being on the 'proper' show than Shaheen Jafargholi, for example, just because she's older. |

I put 'yes' but I think as others have suggested elsewhere that the semis being split in to sections would be better, so for example a whole show of young singers so only 2 could make that final.

It wouldn't make sense, as too many kids would want to audition, and they'll probably feel depressed if they don't make it.
On BGT, if children don't make it, they won't be as much depressed because the show is more popular and pressure building, and kids may be blessed to have been able to audition for the judges and a big audience. Is this all because of Ronan? Come on, give the kid a break! |

Absolutely yes, cannot see why anyone would vote not when so many kids right from series one have made it to finals purely for being young.
There's a simple way of measuring it - imagine the exact act & performance being done by a bloke of 35 and would it be as good. For each of the three child acts this week that are now in the final, had those acts been adults it would've been mediocre. For children they're phenomenal but age should not be relevant whether they're 10 or the 92 year old guy. George Sampson wouldn't have won if he was an adult. There are exceptions, Shaheen was phenomenal as a child and as an act, Andrew pretty close too, the stage girl from series one but they are few and far between and only account for about 20% of those in a final on merit. I think a Child BGT would be quite popular too & would be good to see them outside of the restrictions of this show. |

Yes.
I don't need to put forward an argument because the answer is obvious. |

I voted no. As long as the Kids that make the final are talented I don't mind.

If it's got any links with $yco definately not.Any talent show that features kids should come under close scrutiny, BGT or any $yco shows are very much a closed shop as far as this scrutiny criteria is concerned.

I need a yes/no selection.
Yes, overall: I think that the whole point of BGT is that everyone of all different acts of all different age groups compete. No: I don't see how you can compare a child singer to an adult singer who just has more experience. |

We've had similar discussions about this over the years. The reality is that kids only talent shows both here and the US have not proved to be ratings winners in the past. They never last long. Families might like them but adult only households usually don't.

Yes. It would stop kids appearing on the main show and I wouldn't have to watch the kids show.
