I hope not! After all the time they spent on building his character and making him into a human rather than 'cliche soap villian', it's such a shame that it seems by underdeveloped writing and slotting him into filler material that they're forgetting about/removing some of the character traits that make him, him and thus making him a 2D villian rather than a flawed character that makes bad choices.
Though, if I'm being cynical, I think HO are trying to dumb down the plotlines, because most of the audience are teens anyway and they have a short attention span so they won't be able to get through a whole scene with just talking.

They only watch to see excitement and madcap plotlines, and what's more exciting than spa!times and the ChezChez games!
