I'm unsurprised, but, God, it must be a good year now since I've been in the top 5 posters. Suppose I did actually focus on my studies more than I thought. Testament to the greatness of Friday/Monday, though. Can't stop talking about 'em.

Yeah, I'm just being a complete teenage girl stereotype this week. I don't really see much wrong with enjoying something 'cos it's fun and hot, really, especially when you've been waiting for it for 2 years, and it's a real victory for equality on top of all that too.

Oh! I just assumed you'd watched the bed scene and proposal scene dozens of times like most of us. Watching a scene one more time doesn't really count.

After Elton column I don't agree with some what he's put but interesting to read all the same!!
I do like that even when when/if he doesn't like the story he always comments how good the acting is and how believable the chemistry between Chryed

HE IS A BEAUTIFUL SINGER!

hehe, my sister just came in my room wearing her boyfriend's jumper and i said 'awww, i hope i can get a boyfriend when i'm older who will give me his hoody to wear when it's cold.' and my sister went 'who, marc?' and i said 'god, i frigging wish. i wanna jump him so badly' and my mam walked in she hit me over the head with a magazine and said 'I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOU SAY ANYTHING LIKE THAT AGAIN'

I find it really interesting that so many people can complain about two people showing love and affection to each other, regardless of sexuality, but they say nothing about Phil Mitchell up to his usual thuggish, violent behaviour (and repeating a scenario EE has done before , more than once)

New thread again, wow. And congrats Indie!

BIB: This always just knocks me over! Violence, bullying etc. is OK but not love? I'm always when I hear things like that...

Exactly I'm not sitting there watching it thinking "OMG they had sex", I'm watching it because it's lovely and so Chryed, and they're really happy there I mean it's hot too () but that's not why I've watched it so much - and if some people think that makes me shallow then who cares?

O.M.......G - I was showing my mother something on facebook and when I clicked on a different tab it was the bed scene gif I couldn't click off quick enough and she was like 'what is that???' then after it sinks in '*insert my name*!!' in appalled and disbelieving tone tone..........hmm may be a month before I can look her in the eye

Agreed.

I've just been having a lurk on points of view forum and although there are a few comments complaining, overall, people don't see a problem with it. Same here. Alot of people seem to be defending the BBC's right to air the scene.

Of course complaints from offcom will give a more accurate picture. I have no doubt that there has been at least some, albiet, a very small minority. Some of the reasons should provide some comedy value though, especially from mothers who were unable to explain it to thier children.
who me?

That guy tends to write with a Christian bias and I get the feeling he'd prefer it if that whole muslim thing didn't exist to complicate the storyline.

I've actually watched Syed singing to Kamil more than I've watched the bed scene.”

So have I...plus the proposal

Hello weaversgreen I couldn't agree more! Apparently it's fine for people to attack each other, rape each other, set pubs deliberately on fire, practically have sex on the bonnet of a car (looking at Ryan and Stacey here :sleep and cheat on your partners, but once two gay men in a loving, stable relationship are seen cuddling each other in bed then suddenly everyone wants to complain? Where's the sense in that?

Ha ha!

At least your step dad didn't walk in on you watching Justin taking it up the arse from Brian on Queer as Folk.

Still not over it.

Yes that is more awkward - I told a half lie and was like 'what, it didn't do it; someone sent it to me and I just haven't clicked off it yet' /out and proud

I'd have said the same. Good excuse. Just say it got sent through your inbox and forgot to click it off or something.

You're right, there is no sense in it, their complaints are utterly illogical...I feel pity for anyone who doesn't see this as beautiful

Don't really agree with that article's comment that Syed is suffering from 'internalized homophobia'. He sees his parent's POV and understands it because he used to feel like that too and loves them. Doesn't mean he shares those views anymore. During the early surrogacy s/l (yawn) he did say something about it going against what he believes but since he changed his mind I took it to mean it was an instinctive reaction but after seeing how much C wanted it (and being forced to consider it) he realised he wanted it and believed it was ok too.

You can be gay, or any other object of prejudice, but understand why people hold said prejudices........and when you love the people who hold them even forgive it - and Syed has told them to stuff it several times (ie. Vic defence) so there

ETA - Accepting it doesn't mean you let it stop you. In the face of his mother's wrath and disgust last night Syed said defiantly 'we love each other and want a family' - can't see an internal struggle there

Evening!

Have had a really lovely afternoon with my nephew's, we went out for a meal at pizza hut and then to a kids show at our local theatre, it's been great

Have I missed anything this afternoon?

Not sure if this has been posted yet but New Ellitridge Info, Johnny is supporting the Wizard of Oz themed Walk For Life this Sunday in aid of the Terrence Higgins Trust: http://www.tht.org.uk/mediacentre/pr...june/june1.htm

Isn't it the dog trust honours awards tonight too? So he might be at that seeing as he was on the judging panel

Agreed. People seem to be happy watching phil mitchell beat people up. Yet they complain about two men lying in bed after having made love. Crazy I tell you.

It is indeed almost too much beauty and gorgeousness for one person to handle...

...and I'm not even talking about the fact that the two men in that picture looks...rather good

It's the laaarrrve
