I wanted to write about how i felt about last nights episode,
Sorry for how long it is

I loved the point when Christian and Syed walked up to Tam and Afia to tell them that Christian had blabbed to Mas about their adoption plans. Bless Christian, I know he did not mean to let it out. He was being kind to Mas, holding out an olive branch and checking he is ok, when frankly massood did not deserve Christians act of kindess, and all he got back was hatred and Mas dismissing his and Syed's commitment to each other. I wish he had not told mas, but I can understand how it came about that he did. He was saying we love each other and we plan to have a family, he was demonstrating their commitment to each other. He knew that he had made a mistake, but that mistake was not without provocation and how many of us in the heat of the moment stop to think carefully about what we should say and how we say it. I know he thought it would be better to tell Zainab, as keeping secrets never works and he is right, the point about how zainab might be ok with it once she got used to the idea, now there he was sssssssssssssssooo wrong. I have to borrow Rhumba's magnificant turn of phrase here, there is being naïve and then there is being away with the fairies christian

I loved as they appraoched Tam, the look on Christian's face, sort of pissed off/ crossed with a petulant sulk. He had obivioulsy been told off by Syed for telling Mas when they had agreed to keep it between them and Tam. I understand why Syed would tell him off as he had been asked to keep it between them in the meantime. Yet Syed had obviously forgiven him and just wanted to find a soultion and decide what they should do next, he just can't stay angry at his big man

. It’s the way Syed told on him and Christian going on about how mas winds him up, yet the very minute Afia seems to criticise them for wanting a child, they immediately forget they have had words and launch into a sort of drama queen performance (which was soooo cute

) because they had not bothered to listen to what she was actually saying, it was so funny. I adored how faced with any sort of attack on there commitment to each other they immediately pulled together and defended each other.
Oh then we had the appearance of the screaming harridan, whose hateful and vicious words showed once again how she will only accept syed on her terms. The basis of the reconciliation was shown to be faulty because Zainab is essentially selfish and homophobic, she needed her son to support her once her marriage started to fall apart. But it had to be on her terms, she could not acdcept that he was gay, she stills sees it as unnatural and she wont accept that he and Christian love each other. She hurled abuse at her son and the man he loves, refering to Chrsitian as 'that' because she had been confronted with the evidenace that though Syed desparately wants to be reunited with her, he is not going to go back on his words to her in the vic, that she would have to accept the choices he had made, she through insults and once again hurts him. In the end, all that matters in zainabs world is zainabs feelings and needs.
I cheered when Syed stood up to her. He will take so much from his parents, but as he has proved so often, he will not stand by while they hurt the man he loves. He was brave and strong and she was shown yet again for what she is, selfish, hurtful and self-obessed.
