Melody, yes. Haven't really seen her put a foot wrong yet.

Susan has made mistakes galore and just seems too inexperienced and immature to me.

Think Susan and Edna have been quite fortunate to be on the winning teams, expect that to change the moment their teams lose

Haven't they just?

Similarly, I think Tom and Melody have been quite unlucky in being on the losing team so often, because it's been through no fault of their own.

Nothing special about Melody at all. Haven't seen much from her and her pitch wasn't very good. She spoke too fast and panicky.

Melody's pitch was a bit rushed, I agree, but it was more polished and concise than Leon's. And I like that she didn't rely on cue cards which a lot of candidates do.

I love Susan. She's probably made too many glaring mistakes to win, but she's done a good few things right too. I wouldn't be too surprised if she makes the interviews.

Melody seems now the most likely winner to me, as Lord Sugar has clearly taken against Jim (he'll make interviews at best now, I think). Apart from some of her bizarre utterances in the first task, she's really not put a foot wrong.

Melody has a bit of a marble mouth but she's probably the most shrewd candidate so far, and Sugar loves his shrewdness.

Susan is my fave she has fire and spunk, and makes most of the other candidates seem like an old tortoise. She can stand up for herself too, which I think is what really bothers the other girls so much - the fact they can get told by a 21 year old.

I'd say it's more feeling defensive, which was perhaps not very admirable but was definitely understandable under the circumstances. Susan had made an honest call as to how much she thought they could sell, and confronting her after the event was unhelpful.

I agree, I do like Susan, I think she has great potential
I do not like Melody. Working with her would be a trial for me.
Its a poor selection of candidates for the eventual role LS has in mind.
But they are fun to watch.

I can't stand either of them...

Susan actually whines whenever she speaks, "That's so unfair", "let me finish". And she made me laguh so much on the beauty treatments task when she thought she could sell all those products and failed miserably.

And Melody got on my nerves when she was project manager and kept going "that's another good decision i've made!" Eurgh....

I think they're all pretty bad this year

I like Susan and Melody too but would like Edna to show a bit of personality and fun, it is still early days.

Melody is good. But Susan is a joke, she is so weak and feeble. Her opinion is never taken seriously and that is her fault as she comes across as a immature little girl. "It's so unfair" -- That's all she ever says. She needs to grow a pair...

I like Susan - she has a good head on her. Can't stand Melody, however... She is smug and irritating.

Susan and Melody are my favourites two, with Jim in third place for comic value!

Her opinion often is taken seriously. Her team seemed to treat her with plenty of respect when she was PM, and Zoe took her advice on the cosmetics task in spite of her doubts. She didn't even wholly discount what she was saying in the rubbish task.

That to me seemed an obvious strategy on Zoe's side: express your doubts, then take the advice of the one who claims to be the expert and you can never go wrong.

If you win, you are clever to have taken the advice of the expert, if you lose, you can't help it because you relied on the self professed expert.

During the task Zoe mentioned this more than once on camera, so it certainly looked like she had taken this strategy. Lord Sugar's first question to Zoe in the boardroom referred to this also and Zoe's answer was: "I thought all my birthdays had come once", because at that point it did not look as if they would have won the task.

I have the feeling Zoe and some of the others assessed Susan as being one of the weaker and more naive candidates from the start and have tried to set her up as the fall guy on a few occasions.

When in the last episode Zoe expressed - though rightly so in that case - her doubts about Susan's physique to Leon, Leon answered with: "Yes, she's very weak" , which to me sounded strange and possibly a slip of the tongue. Someone being small or petite, does not make them 'weak'.

Susan wanted to buy 72 units on the Beauty task, and was talked down to 60. Zoe eventually went with 40. That's more than she would have without Susan's input, but not blindly doing what Susan says. Zoe might have come out of that looking very stupid for not taking the "expert" advice. So I don't think she was following the strategy you suggest.

Like when?

I can see an argument that Zoe doesn't respect Susan, but that's expressed by Zoe trying to reign Susan in and not let her make mistakes that would jeopardise the team. Similarly with Edna on the apps task.
