The impersonator last year was phenomenally good,

The guy tonight was pretty good, but nothing special, seen plenty better - that said he was head and shoulders above the other 7 acts and easily the most deserving, having devoted his life to the circuit, so not sure what there is to complain about.

It's a shame really 'cos he was a nice man and I wanted him to do well but he struggled a bit. TBH I was surprised he did it actually 'cos it was a tiny camping site

Well you're always been wrong then.
To be fair it has been 'dishwater' for at least the last 100 years.

The stupid thing is he's just done many other Corrie char
beacters on ITV2....a couple of which were excellent,it will be
interesting to see if he has anything to top that on the final......then of course if he does too mant 'characters ' you run into the situation of just 'recreating the actor's situations..amd you are nt doing real people...

I thought he was great. Finally an act that deserves to be in the final!

he was ok, that was about it, the only thing that really grated me about the routine was the fact he kept throwing in the names of the people he was impersonating, if he was that good a impersonater he would not feel he had to tell you who he was supposed to be, as you would know anyway

For me, it's not just what accent he delivers but the characterisation.

And I thought his Ramsay, SAS, Louis and especially Dec were brilliant.

I liked him, I thought he was funny. I liked his Gordon Ramsey bit, although, he admitted, he messed it up a bit. He also did Harry Redknapp on BGMT, which was uncanny.

As someone else mentioned the other impressionist, Cal something, I presume he didn't go through? A shame, because he was fantastic in his audition. However, acts on BGMT tend not to go through anyway. :/

One word... average!

Average on BGT is great though, because most of it is cack-on-a-stick!

It looked to me as if he didn't have a planned act.

As if he was making it up as he was going along. None of it flowed, and the Apprentice joke is so old. Plus, it didn't work.

It was all rather embarrassing and I was counting the seconds till he finished.

Harry Redknapp impression is here along with Fabio Capello. I think he does well for both, though I agree that some of his impressions were poor last night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xM27FPIh0w

I didn't think he was very good either, his Alan Sugar was especially bad but so was Ramsay. He rolled out Kevin Webster again which is ok, but he's not exactly someone everyone will know.

According to various online dictionaries, it can be either.

I was surprised the impressionist came first, he really wasn't that good. I thought the bellringers were the most entertaining and talented of the night.

He won't get very far at all in the finals as people found him funny this time because his repeated impressions were after a few weeks so forgotten. He won't have much more for the final. I reckon more of the same with a big finale of Simon Cowell and the Hoff

Actually, both are correct. Ditchwater was the original saying, dishwater the most recent one.

A good sign of a bad impression is when you have to tell the audience who you're doing.

His 'Ant' actually sounds more like Tim Healy.
He was impersonating 'Dec'.

Damned with faint praise, nobody was better than 'average' last night, most of them should not have reached the semi-finals.

I thought he was good but not brilliant. Some impressions were not great, for e.g, Lord Sugar, but his Louis Walsh impression was spot on and made me laugh.

Thought he was great - very funny. He was one of the acts I was most looking forward to seeing in the semis.

I love impressionists, though. There aren't enough of the around anymore, so I'm delighted so many viewers voted for him and it's encouraging to see some actual variety finally making it through to the final.

Who was the impression he was doing before Harry Redknapp on More Talent? Stephen said 'we didn't even have to ask', but i have no idea who it was.
