double firing

I can't help but wonder if the double firing was triggered by the fact that no one has yet gone home through home sickness, family problems or disgraced them selves in some manner. I guess they have to take on extra candidtates to guard against running out of people to fire if they have drop outs.

Rubbish. He sacked two people because they deserved it. He sacked Vincent to make a point.

Vincent's sacking looked a bit knee jerk to me. LS was piqued because he hadn't brought Jim into the boardroom. Vincent was by far the best PM last night. He blew it in the boardroom.

I do think that it was planned in advance to have a double firing at some point in this series. There is a good case to sack more than one person at a time nearly every week but obviously that can't happen.

I think if Vincent had brought Jim into the boardroom, they would both have survived. There's no way Jim was going to get fired.

Really? I thought Vincent was a terrible pm. He didn't listen to the focus group ( according to the edit ) he didn't give the subteam a chance to tell him their ideas just over ruled them and said he was going with Everydog. He tried to take credit for the Everydog brand on one or two occassions. He was patronising to his team, minus Jim. He messed up in the boardroom. The only good things he did were putting Natasha in charge of the advert and Melody in charge of the pitch. He's been pretty bad in previous tasks too so his firing was well overdue imo!

How did Ellie know to walk straight out instead of sitting on the seats like the fired candidates usually do? I knew there would be a double as soon as Ellie left immediately after being fired.

The double firing was purely for shock value to get people talking about the show. All the stuff about sending a message back to the rest of the them was a façade.

My guess is that through the filming process they realised this season wasn't shaping up (which it isn't) and decided to mix things up a bit. I'm finding my motivation to watch the show every week is slowly waning, but then if you think about it - it's the exact same format we've been watching for years now so it's bound to get boring at some point.

I think my days as an Apprentice watcher are numbered.

I'd say there were plenty of times when he's had 2 or even 3 people in the boardroom who desrvered firing more, but still ony fired one.

your faith in the show's integrity is touching though.

I'm not really sure how any of that is different to what Glenn did. At least Vincent claimed that the two dog owners, apart from the vet, said that their dogs all ate the same food. And, to be fair, the vet didn't say that you couldn't have a dog food for every dog, just that it would be difficult to make.
