Lord Sugar was wrong again.

Once again Sugar was wrong. He chose the wrong group as winners. The group led by Vincent was far better than the other.
Leon's presentation was poor and his constant blushing and reluctance to be at the front shows he is totally unsuitable for the job.
Sugar was after Vincent and he obviously is just waiting for a chance to sack Jim.
Ellie has been completely useless in every task, but she's not the only one. I wouldn't hire any of them to walk my dog let alone invest 1/4 million in them.

I agree Vincents team should have won, their product let them down but their presentation and commercial was alot better than Jamie's

Venture won because the packaging was professional, suited the USP and was good enough to go on the shelves for real. Leon fluffed his preso badly (clearly was uncomfortable doing it at all), but they were really looking for good branding and advertising so it wasn't crucial. The weakest thing was the branding. The product name and strap line were so pun laden as to be laughable.

Logic's presentation was very slick, but clearly the lead ad man felt uncomfortable at being singled out for such patronising attention, and that comment was relayed (albeit without explanation) in the boardroom. Their ad was only better because a dog jumped up. Never seen that before. There was nothing really wrong with the Everydog concept, many dog foods are aimed at all dogs, but the packaging was very dull. The phrase "joints and heart" was not backed up anywhere in the poster or the ad.

It was a bit of a score draw really, but I felt the cat food just edged it.

I don't think Lord Sugar thought like that. The final decision lies with him and he wanted to find an excuse to fire Jim, but when Jim wasn't brought in, he fired Vincent because he was annoyed.

He was reluctant, but he did it. Compare with Lee in series 4. He was equally poor at presenting, but won anyway. The final task was based around a presentation and I think he won partly because he was able to get it done in the end.

(As I've said elsewhere, although Leon's delivery was poor, I think his content was good. He explained the campaign in way that made it seem coherent and strong. Similarly the advert didn't look professional but did get the necessary points across. The right team won.)

Vincent had never been on the winning team, and had just lost as PM, so was on the edge regardless. His bringing in Ellie and Natasha, the two people who were also in the boardroom last week, smacked of gamesmanship, especially as Natasha's advert was the best thing about their task.

I think Lord Sugar is waiting for a chance to grill Jim, and whether he gets sacked depends on how well he responds.

He's been wrong in his choice of apprentice ever since the series started.

That's why he's a multi-millionaire and I ain't got a pot to p1ss in.

I couldn't disagree more. I work in advertising and that kind of attitude really peeves me off. Advertising is about a hell of a lot more than the flashy sexy creative side of making a pretty advert and a delivering a snazzy presentation.

It's about what you're saying, when you're saying it, who you're saying it to and for what cost. And Vincent's team was way off the mark on all counts. The 'every dog' concept and idea of targeting 'everybody' showed a complete lack of target, focus and strategy, and therefore his campaign was fundementally flawed.

I was so glad LS highlighted all these things and made the right decision, and after years of being annoyed by the advertising tasks in each series it actually restored a little bit of my faith in the show.

LS was clear about the task. "the team that delivers the best campaign wins".
Its not just about one TV advert, or a single presentation, its about the whole thing. He said "You dont just need a great advertising campaign, you've gotta come up with an innovative product."

'Every dog' is not innovative. we've had 'every dog' food for years, Chappie, PAL, Chum etc

Heathy cat food is more original. The product looked good and the name looked great on the package. I could see that on the shelf in the supermarket

LS was right, spot on in fact.
