I never referred to him as a bully. Sure other people shouldn't be so stupid to fall at his feet but he also shouldn't abuse any influence he does have for bad things.”
Again I dont disagree with what you say, but someone else made the point above that no one on YF has mentioned any of this using and abusing............
You mention using and abusing the "hold" he has...........well I could argue that this shows the team to be weak! I deal with folk like Jim and an awful lot more assertive than him on a daily basis. I would love a JIm in my team, seriously, if he can have that hold over a whole group of people while only being one man then he is a force to be reckoned with, and its the group that has the problem, its not as if he is their boss or anything, so they shoudlnt let him act like it.
People keep saying about him having a hold, someone only has a hold if you let them. Someone else said that if you are used to dealing with assertive loud people he will seem okay, well yes exactly - as I said in business you get a lot of different "types" and at least Jim carries an idea through and gives it his best shot. What he does need is someone as assertive has him to tell him in no uncertain terms when he has the wrong end of the stick..............and none of them have the bollox to do it at the minute, I guess its more important to keep your head down, and Im sure if their team had won they would be patting him on the back for his "idea"
I would be looking more at the weakness of the rest of them letting him lead and decide, rather than him "taking" the lead ..........I know who I would rather go into business and its not a week whinger that does nothing when you need them and then complains you did wrong and they knew it all along, in the boardroom.
