And, they almost certainly aren't as bad as they appear on TA.

Taking into account the way they are deliberately put under unrealistic pressure, have to work with and against people at one and the same time and are then subject to capricious rules which can be changed on the fly and thoroughly dishonest editing that hides certain aspects of their characters and accentuates others, we are never going to see them at anywhere approaching their best.

A perfect example was when Vincent gave his reasons for not bringing Jim back into the boardroom. They were perfectly sensible and honourable and had nothing whatever to do with being scared of him.

It was almost certainly the edit that made it look as if he was unduly influenced by Jim whereas, in reality, he was probably just relying on a capable and hard working colleague.

Absolutely - the artificial "ho ho ho, here I am laughing at myself" nature of You're Fired is probably far enough to the other side of the artificial "let's make me look as pompous and lacking in self-awareness as possible" of the show so that we come out with a balanced picture, if not an accurate one.

(I believe Vincent's interviews that he pretty much knew he was getting fired, and I think he just took the two people he had the least respect for overall on the off chance that Lordalan might agree with him. I certainly don't get the whole "Vincent is submissive to Jim" argument the show was presenting - they seemed fairly equal to me. The only real on-task evidence was (surprise surprise) an interview from Nick saying so)

I think it's much better now with Dara. When Adrian hosted I would dip in from time to time if I was a fan of the fired candidate. But now it's turned into must-watch for me regardless of who has been fired.

I'm the opposite. When Adrian helmed it, it was must-watch for me, but now I don't care if I miss it.

Perhaps Adrian Chiles was a better host because he's not a comic by profession so any witty comments he made were a natural by-product of talking about the show. Dara is eager to turn every Apprentice moment into some comedy material. You could argue Dara is a bit narcissistic in the way he uses the fired Apprentice candidates as a vehicle to make jokes.

I like Dara as he is funny , witty and intelligent but it is missing a business side since he took over and as other have said it'd be nice to see an extended version.
Something is wrong when a woman i've not really heard of who is a model -Lisa Snowdan- receives the same amount of airtime as the founder of Space NK!
