Tuning in at SR of 23000 doesn't work but using 22000 is fine. What's going on? Has the change been reverted? I'm using Ross DVB-S2 receiver; assuming it's something to do with the latter!

Edit: noticed transponder off for 5 seconds at 0928 so maybe changes still going on.

Anyone else with a 2008 panachronic able to receive the new BBC HD channels? I've tried a freesat retune and still nothing. I'm loathed to perform a factory reset as it will delete all my non-freesat channels and it takes an absolute age for a rescan and even longer to delete the encrypted stuff that $ky don't flag correctly. Then there's the fact that you can't re-order the channel list so anything you want to be readily available you need to place at the higher end of the list by scanning the transponders in the order of preference.

i think it looks like the picture quality has suffered just a personal opinion, stills and that look ok but fast pans and hands and things dont seem to look as sharp as b4

My Foxsat-HDR is reporting the SR as 23000. Not sure why you're seeing that!

Just come back from retuning a number of generic and Linux boxes of various makes and models and all have retuned on, and reported 23000.

Signal quality doesn't appear to have suffered despite the poor FEC (although we'll have to wait until tonight for proof).

My Panny TX-37LZD81 won't find the new BBC HD channels. Have done a full retune etc and still no joy. Showing "NO SIGNAL" everything else OK and have swapped sat feeds from HUMAX HDR which is getting it OK.
Any ideas anyone??

Doesn't look good.

Someone on joinfreesat has reported that a full reset will do the trick. Though as I say, it is a serious pain in the ass to get the non-freesats as previously ordered.

My HDR did but my HD didn't..

Unsurprisingly my Creatix SAA7131 can no longer get the BBC HD channels as its not DVB-S2 compatible. I'm not having much luck with this sort of stuff. My Daewoo Setpal got killed by the Split NIT on DTT. My Matsui IDTV got finished off by 2k to 8k at switchover the other week.

If someone say that a product is future-proof they are lying

My HDR also re-tuned correctly overnight. Also, we had a brief power cut in the early hours of Sunday morning, and Sunday's recording schedule still worked OK, also without intervention, so it's "douze points" to the new .15 firmware!

Linowsat was reporting early this morning parameters of 22000 8/9 QPSK but now has been updated to 23000 5/6 8PSK, this would give a Netto TS bitrate of 57Mb/s if true.

There also appears to be seven new labels on there, PID's all at zero.

Hi
My Hoxsat HD Tuned up OK with Loader U7_24 and 10...28 software. Shoed 23000 8/9 FEC.

Excuse my technical ignorance but could someone answer these questions.

1. Has the BBC changed to launch more HD channels and how would this be possible for them to add these extras to freeview as I thought terrestrial had no spare capacity , and the BBC channels have to be available to all.

2. Is this reliable info http://en.kingofsat.net/detail-itv3d.php

3. When Astra 1N launches what's it short term use going to be ?

It is known that the BBC are running 3D tests at Wimbledon and it is suspected that the satellite changes may be to launch a temporary 3D channel only for the Wimbledon fortnight - this will NOT be on Freeview-HD.

The BBC have admitted that it may not be possible to bring all new services to Freeview-HD in the future.

My guess is that the Pannys cant see the "new" BBCs is because they probably have the same SID as the "old" channels. My Panny D25 doesn't allow me to delete the older channels & probably sees the new ones albeit with different variables as one in the same due to same SIDs. This is just a hunch but if things stay the same an "Auto Setup" in the DVB-S tuning menu should fix the prob ~ no need for factory reset.

That's what you would expect but unfortunately isn't the case. A factory reset is required

Unless the BeeB change their SID's on the wind of hearing about this from disgruntled Panny users.
P.S. anyone know how to delete a channel/transponder from a Panny TV this would solve the problem as the previous channels would no longer exist thereby allowing a rescan instead of the whole Auto Setup thingy.
