John did say he would be back and also said unless she was a bitch.

But ferfer she tweeted that she said that because she was angry so clearly she said somethin that made him think she called it? Im not sayin that she had an ulterior motive in sayin that they were on a break. If she said whatever she said to make John think she had finished it in anger than she would know she didnt really mean it and she would still think they were on a break. It doesnt mean that John took it the same way as she did, maybe it was the straw that broke the camels back as far as he was concerned. This is where the whole miscommunication thing comes into it, they were never clear with each other where they stood after whatever was said to make John feel that way.

Only John and Josie know what went on inside the relationship, but from the outside I would say its impossible to say at what point the relationship ended. Just as John seemed to have had some difficulty in being clear as to when it actually started!
From what we see on TSAJ, I would say that Josie expected him to come back, and thought that things were ongoing till then. We simply don't know what was said over the phone, but I guess you could say that whatever it was needed to be confirmed by seeing each other face to face. If they'd both been in London, that would have been the case.
Of course John may have believed it was over, but not for the first time he wasn't clear about what he thought or felt. Does anyone rember the day he went out the Fire Exit??? lol

I agree with you, Rach. I can't understand why some people on the thread feel the need to talk and talk again about something we don't really know about. Talk about their characters, the way they handle situations and such stuff, but to keep going on and on about something that was essentially settled in an angry phone call when John landed in Oz, when we don't know what was said seems daft and boring. Enough already. Especially when things that are not known are talked about as if they are fact and known for certain when they are not.
Some of the discussions today that I've picked up have been great. This one has really been done to death again and again. I think the corpse has had enough and wants to be put quietly to bed.
