You hit the nail on the head. He was very average and had a good sob story. A pro dancer would tell you exactly the same I suspect.

He's a young kid battling with adversity to try and make a little bit of good for himself. Who's to say that's not as talented as someone sitting behind a piano grinning away...?

We've been discussing this poor kid all day. I couldn't possibly add to my other comments.

Assumption much?

The adversity could be because of his age/his appearance (how many times was he called "albino" last night on the evenings thread for example....)!

Is that the kids fault or the shows fault?

I can't tell if he is a good dancer or not but I didn't find him very entertaining. Gay and Alan were much more entertaining to me.

I personally don't think that sob stories should be allowed to be said/shown/discussed or whatever. The show is down to talent and I think it's natural for people to 'side' with someone especially a child if they have a sob story. This must Affect votes somehow, i just think they should keep the show as exactly what its supposed to be...about talent, not the actual people's lives.

He is a very good dancer and I don't think he portrayed himself as a victim anyway.

But as for the comments about "mild autism". For one thing how does anyone know if its "mild"? And for another, autism, however it may appear on the outside, can have a profound effect upon individual lives and often, great adversity is part of the deal....not always but often.

I thought it was a beautiful performance and so unexpected with his more punk style look.

It was flowing and stunning.

thats a fair comment. I don't think people's personal lives though should affect how they are judged, or should affect the votes. He seems like a very sweet boy but there is people i'd like to see win over him.
