Surely just singing someone else's song is plagiarism............

Where does it say in the rulebook, 'thou shall not plagiarise?'.

And i don't get this things about pros as well. Does it matter, the show is about talent?! Pros..amateurs..pensioners. As long as they have talent it doesn't really matter.

They aren't in the show for professional contracts, its' to appear in front of the Queen

Remember?

My point exactly.

Surely Steven Hall was, if he indeed see Evolution of Dance beforehand, just doing his version of it.

BGT has to gain permission and pay royalties to the artists whose songs it uses, and aside from that they acknowledge that they are using someone else's material.

The whole act is deemed marvellous because it's such a fun idea not because he's done anything better with a non original act. The guy doesn't have any talent as such, he dances and looks like a teacher, the amusement comes from the twist which he did not invent.

Clearly though, the public love him, and I wish him good luck but I don't think Stephen Hall has 'talent' in any sense of the word.
