It doesn't say they didn't know about the contract, obviously they did as they would have signed into it

I tried adding a reply and it's not being shown. Is a padlock about to appear on this thread?

It didnt say that, it said they don't know about sycos internal plans. Not the contract itself.

Im just surprised this thread isn't locked yet.

I'm not a solicitor/lawyer but my assumption is that, as the report is anonymous and widespread, it can only be treated as liabel and therefore subject to possible legal action.

Hey DS...WHAT HAPPENED TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH? Why can't we discuss this?

Well, you could start a thread about the rampant affair I had with Brad Pitt, it wouldnt be true but I wouldn't mind lol.

We're supposed to believe this is an email hoax and the mad ravings of an internet fantasist though......slightly puzzling that major steps appear to have been taken to stop what this individual has to say entering the public domain.

I have no idea if its true or not, but if it's a lie it's a very damning one so Syco trying to do away with it is not surprising to me. Maybe if the source wasn't anonymous I'd pay more attention to it, but anyone could have written and uploaded
that document so for now I'm taking it with a massive pinch of salt

Personally, I would issue a lengthy and line by line denial of what is in that email. Maybe that is what they intend doing and this is just a holding move?

Oh, that story

The deletion of posts discussing it and the removal of threads would seem to suggest the leaked information is true. I was on the fence about the whole thing but now I definitely think it's true

Hardly. If someone posted on the internet that you wet the bed, picked your nose and spent all day in bed eating junk food it's highly unlikely to be true, but you wouldnt like it and would try to stop it wouldn't you.

People post Apple rumours all the time. The only time they ever get Cease and Desist letters is when it's true. Case in point: the leak of the "fat" iPod nanos.

I reckon the producers find the talent around the country

then they use the show to launch the British Bieber

Wouldn't it be simpler to issue a denial?

What I CAN believe is that Syco have talent scouts, I'm sure they have a whole team devoted to it, like modelling agencies do, it's their future bread and butter after all.

But the last thing I will say on this emotive subject is that until there is something concrete to substantiate the story and facts are proven, I'll still be overdoing my daily salt intake allowance reading about it

I believe every word of what was written in that report, because it's so easy to, and makes a lot of sense,

it would be very difficult to make up,

Why would I deny the truth?

Joking aside, I would just deny it. Trying to stop information getting out after the cat has already been let out of the bag is useless. Ryan Giggs can attest to that.

Sheba, the source was supposedly someone within Syco or Sony. They have to sign confidentiality agreements which include after they leave.

If he publicly came out he would be in breach of contract & have one of the richest & most powerful men/ companies after him with their lawyers & media connections.

His life wouldn't be worth living.

Do we have a Syco employee in our midst? Hmmm....

Ughh you drew me back in lol.

I could say I work for Syco and could have uploaded that. I could say I'm the PM, I could say anything, the internet is as anonymous as you want it to be until something comes back to bite you in the behind.

Eastendfan, I eat junk food in bed too ... don't tell anyone lol

people that are saying that anyone could have written it are wrong,

there is a lot of detail in the article which I doubt would be possible to make up.

the whole article supports the fact the xf/bgt is fixed, which it obviously is, anyone that denies that has got a screw loose,

so, at least some of what is written has to be true

The thing that puzzles me is that they are taking serious steps to try and silence someone who is supposed to be an internet hoaxer ie. a fantasist who has created a bogus email in his living room or bedroom......why go to the bother if they can disprove everything he says?

Why is it impossible to make up? I'm not sure whether to believe it or no, but I'm 100% sure that, if I had a grudge against Syco or Simon Cowell, I'd have been able to make up a similar yarn - that's exactly why it's so believable.

exactly, now that this is out, it takes just one other person, who may be able to confirm one of the details to make the whole thing look genuine
