I agree with far2cool. Yes there are plenty of people who write random nonsense & post it as fact but the level of detail in this was incredibly convincing.

If you're just writing it for the hell of it you wouldn't go to anywhere near that amount of effort. Just a couple of general paragraphs would be enough to get the point across.

It also mentioned a specific footballer. If it wasn't true it just would have said "A professional footballer's party". Not give his name. IMO of course

thank you,

the level of detail means that it is harder to shush, as there are many things that they will need to deny

Also, that footballer's wife was mentioned by the kid's mum in her rebuttal. So that bit's certainly true.

Which begs the question as to how the author is aware that the boy would have been at that party two years ago.

exactly, all it takes is for someone else who was auditioning in 2009 or 2010 to come out and say that they saw him there.

(but they probably aren't allowed to speak about their experiences)

You're saying to me that diversity were going to win from the Start. I think that answar is a no. I don't think anyone can prove this and we should get back to what it is and what it aways will be. A Entertaiment show.

What has to be remembered is that any article that mentions an actual name in relation to unfounded allegations is libellous - no one with half a brain cell would risk that as it's a civil offence. So unless the person who wrote it is either very stupid or 100% sure, they would not mention anyone's name.

it's only illegal if it's not true

It doesn't say that BGT actually fix the telephone voting, just that they heavily influence the voting by telling people who to vote for, at which they have become "world leaders"

Well, I think the answer is probably a yes

No, because it would be a serious crime for them to rig the phone vote, fraud in fact.

but they way in which they manipulate is horrible

But as Kingsy has said it did not say the telephone voting is fixed they get try and tell people who to vote for and then it's the public who decides who they want to win if they want to listen to the judges it's up to them if not they vote for someone else.

It was just featured on the BBC Three news.

The reason I believed that report is because it was easy to believe. Every word of it made perfect sense.

Nope. They weren't meant to win from the start. However, the fact is the acts don't really have to win any more. Obviously its preferable, but just as long as enough media hype & public interest has been created that they'll sell & make millions around the world (helps with youtube & twitter now etc.) then that's enough.

Look at SuBo. How much did she make for her record company when she didn't win? I doubt Ronan will win on Saturday now but he'll still make more than enough money for a record company as the monster publicity machine has already been set in motion.

The public do ultimately vote to decide but the producers do as much as they can to make sure they get favourable results in the long run.

Look if the telephone vote was Fixed i would get Angry and would hope action was taken. But the fact is it is not. The Judges don't tell me who to vote for and i vote for the person i liked best if the Judges liked it or not.

Exactly. And they published it including several names, which suggests that it is true. If it's not true, that means they didn't know it was illegal, which seems unlikely, because I would have thought most people are aware of that?

Your vote is pointless.

Anyone who votes on bgt or xf should not be allowed to be in possession of a phone.

I still wouldn't be surprised if they do rig the phone votes, I hate the SyCo shows, and the man himself, he is ruining the music industry.

Exactly, which makes it seem even more likely thst it is true.

Yep. It's really stacking up. The risks would be too great for the writer for it not to be true IMO. I can't see anyone being silly enough to get themselves in such deep water for no good reason.

The telephone vote is not fixed; nobody has said that. The show however does manipulate the audience in various ways.

Not just in the comments and bugging certain acts up. They sabotage acts they don't want to do well via poor production or deliberately giving them content that's not appropriate for them or improving ones they want to do well by giving great production to them.

That's how they fix it and "tell to who to vote for".

Haha! Quality. They shouldn't be allowed to vote in general elections either!

Samthe football. You do vote for who you want & that's good. Its just producers do their best to make you think you want to vote a certain way. Its like advertisers trying to get you to buy their product.
Coke spend £1.5 billion a year on many many different ways to subtly & not so subtly influence people. And it works. People don't just buy brands because they're the best ones for them or even the best tasting/looking ones etc. but they've been convinced that that brand is the one they should get by advertising. Its scary really.

A previous poster made a great point about Ronan Parke's audition. It was alleged it was scripted for Louis to say "Ronan Parke. Remember that name."
Fairly innocuous but now whenever you see a bit of VT about Ronan that clip will be played & a viewer hears "Ronan Parke Remember that name" which is like a suggestion to their subconscious to remember that name.

A bit like how Derren Brown subtly influences people. You will think this is too far fetched but you'd be amazed at the research which shows how easily all of us (me included) are influenced by suggestions such as these.

Sorry for the waffle but this stuff really interests me.
