Why does everyone love Jim?

Haha, I liked Ben. I supported him until he was fired, and I must admit I was gutted when he inevitably was. I think the difference was that he was a complete tool but didn't pretend to be otherwise (either he was incapable of hiding it or he chose not to, I'm not sure which).

Jim on the other hand...he behaves like a nice guy up until a certain point. I wouldn't know where I stood with someone like Jim. He puts on a 'nice' act to hide that fact that he's really a tool, which is where I personally have a problem with him.

That is how I see the Jim situation. He isn't a candidate I love to hate, he's simply a candidate I hate. No idea what the general consensus is, but that is my personal opinion. How much of it is down to the editing I do not know, but this is from what I've seen.

(Should quickly add that the only reason I quoted this particular post was because you mentioned Ben which gave me a starting point for comparison and isn't really in response to your post at all. Just thought if I randomly start talking about Ben it will look a bit odd )

I know a few people who love him, personally I find it bizarre I think he's just full of hot air!

I think it has been a case of Jim being shown more than the majority of others? He seems like a cheeky chappie while working hard at the same time. He could be setting himself up for a fall though, Lord Sugar doesn't like him much!

He and Jim are very alike. Plain speakers who don't take prisoners.

I think he's very sly and wouldn't trust him at all.

Haha -- well, it could be argued they share quite a few qualities business-wise. But I'm too lazy to do that right now.

Why didnt he put himself up for PM. He begged LS for it last time. If this is a game he is playing with LS he wont win.

I find him extremely manipulative and annoying actually, a bit of a con merchant and Sir Alan has his number I'm sure.

I wondered the same.

I thought he was abit rude when he was shouting at no. 73(?), if someone did that to me i would open the door and very politely tell them to be on their way....ahem.

I think you've just hit the nail on the head; I like Jim because he's similar in a lot of ways to Sralan. As you say, that could be part of the reason why Sralan doesn't like Jim.

I just loved his Jedi mind control. That was enough reason for me to like him.

I like him because he actually does something rather than dithering around although I am puzzled why he didn't volunteer to be project manager?

Jim comes across as stubborn and sneaky at the same time. Plus his accent really offends my ears.

Jim is tough, talented, a brilliant negotiator, and one of the sharpest candidates this year. Add his lovely accent and sexy looks to the mix and you have a star!

He had a good start and looked like a contender.

He has had a bad few weeks and now looks like a one trick pony.

He is certainly not a contender at this stage from what I can see.

Firstly, his accent is great.

Other than that he's very logical and argues his points very well, he took apart Karen and Sugar in the boardroom a couple of weeks ago when they were talking shit, he's well spoken, a good negotiator and salesperson. Charming and persuasive to other candidates as well which is helping him.

I agree with everything Dominos and Cherry-choc said! Jim is the only person in the running who I don't consider a dithering fool. He steps up and he negotiates amazingly, he's clear, logical and doesn't listen to any rubbish.

(I think that not stepping up this week may be down to 'man power' tbh - anybody else notice that all the men were sent to forage for scrap on day one? The task required muscle, it made more sense for a girl to be PM and man the phones.)

Which is great if you want a salesman. However if you want someone to run a business with I would rather have someone with a bit more all round skill and less of a fly by night nature.
