Every night this week it seems to have been a couple of reasonable acts and the rest absolute crap

Ive tried to enjoy it I really have but IMO its gone from bad to worse this year

its garbage. mediocre singers, mediocre dancers, mediocre instrumentalists, not a single talented woman anywhere on the show for some reason. cowell has just become loathsome- he is no longer "love to hate".

I watch loads of RTV but this is the worst series of BGT or most other RTV shows I've seen in some time.

Not one act stands out for me sadly.

Personally, I think it's a case of 'rose tinted spectacles'.....I've seen most (admittedly not all) of the BGT auditions & finals, and I've always thought it was 80% shite & 20% reasonable stuff.

Perhaps you're remembering the best bits, and forgetting the 'DJ Talents'?

Yep Wouldn't pay to see any of them, I loved last years winners, previously Diversity were fab and I even liked that young dancing lad who won and Stavros Flately amused me, but no-one to champion this time.

It's absolutely awful this year .I don't know how the majority of the acts have the gall to think they have any talent. Even the better ones are no more than reasonably good.

This is the first year where there is no act that I'm looking forward to see. Maybe I'm becoming bored with the format but I think it's more the standard of acts are dire. Is this really the best they can come up with?

Animal lover here but what was the point of putitng both the dog acts through when there was no point to either of them?

I think this years been a bit crap. Dont think Ive ever seen so many duff acts put through. Does make you think if Simon had been with the show the whole time if most of these acts would have seen the light of day let alone a stage.

Indeed, people seem to think previous years were better, because they remember Diversity, The Bartenders, George Sampson, Paul Burling, Twist and Pulse, Stavros Flatley and others, but are forgetting Kevin Cruise, Sean Sheehan, Maxxie Oliver, Darth Jackson, Nick Hell, Peter Coghlan, The Barrow Boys, Brit Chix, Deans of Magic, Mel’s Clever K9’S and many other acts.

The show is tripe though, but for different reasons. For starters, Lorna Bliss was called back and we got a lame excuse. Michael Moral was kicked off the show when he was clearly one of the better acts in the auditions.

Then there's acts like the Entertainernator who got less votes than Wobbie, Cal and Michael, yet they got through.

If there's a new show next year, they need to do a major shuffle. Make a rule that any act with three votes gets priority over acts with two votes. If they need to place 40 acts for the semi finals, they must first look at the bracket of three votes. If there's spare places, look at the acts with two votes, or possibly hold another audition. Really though, if an act gets three votes, it should, by default, have the right of a place in the semi final.

That is what's annoying me.

Edit: The reason they get in hot water and fans are so vocal about certain acts not getting through, is because of acts like Mexican Mayhem, Lorna Bliss and the Entertainernator. That's 3 placed that could have been given to Cal, Wobbie and Michael. There are, of course, many other acts that deserve to be there.

We saw last night the Apprentice really made a Dent in the ratings.They Fell into this Trap of trying to find another SUBO moment and totally lost the plot in the process.The Acts even chosen for Live semis have proven just how much the show either needs a Rest or total Reboot.

what are they trying to find? because it seems totally swamped with singers or Dancers.
you can see holdens Face night after night as some of these acts totally Crash 'WTF have we done here'.

Simon Cowells face for the first 30 mins tonight was just priceless.

I think it is especially poor this year and I really don't know why I'm watching (and now that Out of the Blue are out I'm not sure I will be watching any more).

Yes most acts have been poor. Can't believe they guy with the bmx tricks and the old guy ripping off the you tube dance thing got through!! rubbish.

Worst BGT ever. Carefully selected dross acts put up against favoured performers.

From the little I have seen it is diabolical.

They should ban singers and dancers from taking part, then we'd get a really diverse range of acts which would be far more entertaining - even if some of them are awful they're still funny!

The problem with the show is that they intentionally put through some truly awful acts purely for controversy. Most of the other acts are very mediocre so as not to put up too much of a challenge to their 'Golden' act(s) - those who have been 'advised' (with a nod and a wink) to enter the show.

The show is 'steered' to within an inch of it's remaining life - which may not be very long going off this years effort.

...oh, and I agree with others, Mr $cowell is becoming very irritating - and the way he laid into the young dark-haired female singer was awful. The show was better without him...

No I don't think it is. I just think its become fashionable to slag off the show.

Yes it's pretty bad! for a start if you have a dog you practically got put though automatically as Simon once said 'I like dogs' so now Amanda thinks she has to like any act that has a dog in it! Mexican Mayhem last night was ridiculous, how on earth did they think this act had anything remotely resembling talent in it? There have been 3 decent acts on the show every night this week and even those haven't been brilliant but because the other 5 have been diabolical they had a chance of getting through! I can't believe that out of all those auditions this is the best that they could come up with. I want the impressionist guy to win as he is genuinely funny and I think he will go down really well at the Royal Variety which is the whole point of the show.

I've said before that the show peaked in 2009. I enjoyed all the acts in that year's final. No-one was completely rubbish and they were all likable. It won't be the same tomorrow with the likes of that mad old woman and mad old bloke in there.

I think that the whole thing is a bit of a farce this year. The judges always seem distracted somehow. Simon is on another planet this week and keeps looking over his shoulder at someone all the time (the producer??) then Amanda and McIntyre disappeared during the Mexican dog act and Ant and Dec didn't seem sure what was going on. They don't get back to their seats in time after the ad breaks. It is as if nobody really cares anymore.

Compare this with the earlier series when Amanda was taking it deadly seriously (she even had a serious hair cut and hairstyle!) and there were constructive remarks from everyone on the panel. It seems to be very amateurish this year in all respects.
