Discuss here if you believe he deserves his place in the final.

He is the only one I have seen that does what it says on the tin.

He is British and he has talent so yes he should be in the final. Maybe just a solo concert.

An Evening with Jai McDowall.

I think Out of the Blue should have gone through on public vote (and yes i did vote) with Jai & Edward in the judges vote, with Edward going through
Its not that i dont like Jai its just i'm so bored of all these singers that dont add anything unique. Go on X Factor for goodness sake.

Maybe someone could find us a video on YouTube of his audition, or maybe as part of those 10-minute long videos of the parts of episodes that people usually upload.

He got the most votes of the night so yes he does deserve to be in the final.
Im sure he was probably not in Cowells top 3 so on that fact alone im even happier he got through.

Yes, he should, unlike most of the other finalists. I like him a lot.

I saw him for the first time last night and was quite impressed. By far the strongest act of the evening, though I was surprised that the Oxford guys didn't get through.

Yes he should be through if you look at some of the dreadful act that are already through...

BUT!....

He really needs a major song that everyone knows and hasn't done one so far. Avoiding popular songs to try and be individual and cool is not the way to go when trying to get the popular vote.

Having said that, there are a few good acts that SHOULD be in the final and many that are in the finals that shouldn't be there.

The thing against him is that he is not a Variety act and it seems that we are not getting many of them in the finals unless they are funny.

Yes he was brilliant

Yes, he was excellent. Far better than the likes of Jean Martyn, Steven Hall and New Bounce for example.

He didn't really do it for me, I'm afraid. I thought he was a bit dull. I knew he'd be top three but I thought that Edward would get the public vote with Out of the blue and Jai left to the judges.

He wasn't really my cup of tea and I found that I got bored a bit during his act. Having said that he is definitely talented and I can see why lots of people enjoyed his performance.
So although I didn't vote for him, I think he deserves his place in the final.

.”

Bring Me To Life did get to number 1 in 2003, and everyone I knew pretty much said straight away, "That's Evanescence". That makes it popular in my book.

To answer the question, yes. Jai is the best singer in the competition in my opinion. Better than Ronan. Better than New Bounce.

I didnt know the song immediately but as soon as he got to the chorus I knew it
