Holden and McIntyre - Get Some Backbone!!!

I cannot believe those two just sat in their seats and went along with Simon bringing that dancer back.

"Yes Simon, you've done the right thing Simon, we were wrong Simon, three bags full Simon".

Like Holden and McIntyre had any say in what happened on Sunday's show?? It was clearly the producers who decided to put the dance acts up against eachother, probably decided which one to put through too, all so Sheriff Cowell could appear to "Ride to the rescue" of REAL talent last night! Absoloutely Pathetic!

I can't believe they just sat there and took it like two naughty little school kids in front of the headmaster. They showed themselves up to be nothing more than Cowell's puppets, who on command, dance to their masters tune! Disgraceful!

Of course the real reason Simon wants the dancer back, is so him and Razi's vote are split, hopefully neither one reaches the final, so the path is cleared for his golden boy Ronan to win. But that's another story......

Hardly the same is it!

Holden hasn't got much admittedly if she left BGT, but McIntyre's (arguably) Britains most popular standup comedian. Like he needs to sit there and let himself get huliliated live on national TV to make Cowell look like a hero? If I was him I'd have been straight out of the door.

And straight to court for breaking his contract. Do you honestly think they didn't know what was planned? Even if he is selling out tours, he won't tour every year. He has tv work to keep his name out there and I'm sure more people watch BTG than they do his comedy roadshow.

Of course they did! My point is where's their dignity? Allowing themselves to sit their like scolded children, taking the blame for something they had nothing to do with, just so Cowell could look like a hero. Sorry I couldn't do that, but that's just me.

Reports go that Michael was quite upset when it was announced that Lorna Bliss was placed in the semis.

Wouldnt surprise me he gave the impression in the VT before her performance that she shouldnt be there pointing out the no's she got before he remembered where he was and threw in a 'Im quite looking forward to seeing her' at the end.

To be fair, McIntyre was the one who suggested putting both Razzy and Michael through on Sundays show. While Holden was backing Razzy and The Hoff Michael. So of course he agreed with what Simon has done.

Yep, agree with that. I think Michael McIntyre's been one of the most honest (and amusing) judges on that show. In my opinion he didn't cow down to any of them.

Agree with that.

Michael was the only judge to actually say at the time both Razzy and Michael deserved to go through.

Thy are just playing out the story as it was written by the producers. The whole thing would have been decided from the outset and everyone on the show, including all the contestants would have been aware of it; it's highly unlikely that Michael just appeared earlier this week (or sooner) for rehearsals etc.

But Amanda did admit in hindsight she was wrong, I don't see that as simpering or kow towing to the boss she was big enough to admit she made a mistake.

as if those 3 judges has any say into who goes into the top 40

the whole things a publicity stunt from the outset

the controversial sunday show where they exclude one and make them have a dance off.

then simon comes in to save the day and make the popular decision to bring the french guy back. Which also makes simon look to be the good guy.

Most people think the only acts on BGT are on the stage, but its not. Its everything, the judges acting like they make any real decisions. The whole auditioning process, the rumours and gossip put into the press to drum up publicity.

The best act in BGT is the BGT publicity machine. That one should win every year

The whole thing is a set-up engineered to increase front pages news and higher ratings. They do try too hard though, just put through decent acts - cut out the dead wood, funny acts are fine for audition shoes, but by the time of live semi-finals give the audience decent acts every night.

Well they were obviously so wrong about which one they put through everyone (in the public) was already thinking it was deliverately set-up to bring back the guy anyway. So maybe they were just acting.

But I do agree about Michael McIntyre. He seems to defer to Cowell on everything, as if he judges himself not worthy to be on the panel. I think he's an excellent judge and should stand up for himself a bit more against Cowell instead of licking his backside.

okay... we all know that these talent comps (even American Idol) are not done by the open stadium audtions. Those are for finding the filler acts and weirdos. There is a subscribed site in the US for performers that pre auditions candidates for AI and (gosh) the X factor. We all know that Ronan is probably pre-scouted. We all know that these performers are preened and coached before the semi-finals and told what to do. We all know that most of them are scared to death that they may not work again or at all if they blow the whistle. HOWEVER, I think the 'letter' going around is a bit OTT. I don't think Ronan was 'sexualized' either gay or staight and I think THAT is what Cowell may really reacting too.

That said, why are we all still watching and condoning this? I've just followed it on here and quit having my channel set to ITV. Let's face it. The candidates going through are not someone I'd pay to see. But then, I'm still wondering why Diana Vickers is getting work... Standards have slipped amazingly...
