Okay, after a growing little sub-section of appreciation in the Brendan thread, it's about time the underused but much-loved Jamil got one of his own.

I think the character is great and Sikander's been a really good addition to the cast but I really hope they give him more to do soon!

I LOVE JAMIL. and Sikander. I love 'em both, me.

And I really, really wish they'd give Jamil something better to do than run away from snakes. Although I did enjoy the painting scenes, cause he was wearing a vest.

It also annoys me that god-awful characters as bad as Liberty and Noah get all this screentime when Jamil is 100 times better than either of those two.

He's really underused I wanna see more of him. Mainly because a) he is pretty b) has a yummy voice and c) is a damn sight better actor than several of the other characters who are shown for some unfathomable reason alot more than him.

I do love his comedy stuff and he does actually feel like a "real" student - you know not every student drinks nor is a stud. I kinda like that Jamil feels so normal. I don't want him with Texas - she's a bit of a cow.

He's a great character, and yeah, he does feel sort of real, with his hopeless love life and his revision problems.

I don't know why they haven't used him more before - but I loved the radio stuff with Lee, and he's great with Doug as well. Give him something great to do! The boy's got masses of potential. Please no more sterotypical 'arranged marriage' stories though.

I love Jamil great character, love him and Doug's little double act and enjoy him in the comedy storylines but hope he gets something more serious soon

I'd also like him to find love. Though preferable away from Texas, with someone who appreciates him.

I'd almost vote for Leanne, clinically insane as she is.

I have a lot of love for both Jamil and Sikander, it seems unbelievable to me that they waste someone like him while throwing big storylines at the likes of Ruby and Noah, criminal shame.

And no I don't think he should find love with Texas, mainly because she is duller than ditchwater.

Maybe they could give her something to do as well, being sad about your sister getting murdered every couple of months isn't the most riveting of storylines.

I love Sikander and Jamil too! Like everyone has said, he is being wasted on the show atm, and deserves bigger and better storylines than appearing once every three months to hold a snake and disappear again

I don't want him with Texas either, she doesn't interest me and was horrid to him. I would much rather they focussed on his friendship with Dougie, than shove him in another relationship plot...

Exactly, dogder reminds me of someone who has just graduated after a lifestyle of being in fagins gang. Maybe it's the accent or the name? Jamil has class and substances also hating the way Texas is taking advantage of that.

Forget waiting till 30 to tie the knot with him, there should be nothing 'back-up' about Jamil.

OH Jamil!! I absolutely love him, Despite having very little screentime since he joined, he remains one of the very few characters in HO right now that I actually care about. The actor is yet to prove himself properly to be fair(but thats down to having little screentime and not much of a storyline) but I do so far find him to be a very natural actor.
Jamil does remind me of myself a little bit, as cliche as it sounds.

Yep, I like Jamil and would definitely like to see more of him. He's got a lovely calm manner about him that I find very likable (especially in comparison with some of the other characters that I find grating/annoying). Plus he's nice-looking and has lovely polite manners. He's a gentleman, and that goes a long way with me.

I also like the fact that he does actually study and take it seriously. I suppose that's not the most soapy trait ever attributed to a character, but it appeals to me, and it's just nice to see, for a change.

Aww, I too like Jamil. We don't get to see him much, but when we do, I like his scenes as he's not loud and causing trouble in them, and is there, quietly, doing his thing. I like it.

I love that everytime I drop into this thread, someone else has left a comment about how great Jamil is. Now all we need is for HO's to realise that, and act on it

yeahh, he is good, and has loadsa potential, hes wasting away. one thing though, if he leaves like lee, dunk, ricky etc he will have a lot of angry fans. if hes axed, HO will have lost a lot of fans. if he sticks around, he NEEDS a better SL and needs to stop being used for pointless fillers.

plus, hes fit
