Daily Mail Article says he has called in Police over Blog allegedly written by Sony BMG insider that says Ronan was spotted 2 years ago contary to BGT rules.

Simon Cowell calls in police over claims of a Britain's Got Talent fix: Shock internet 'revelations' that talent show is rigged so Ronan, 12, wins

This is interesting and sounds more plausable than Simon grooming a 10 year old to act camp for two years:

Perhaps Cowell will rig BGT so Ronan comes second, not first!

Susan Boyle came second, it didn't stop her making millions and selling loads of albums.

Well he's not exactly going to hold his hands up and say "ofcourse it's all true" is he!

With all the 'fix' rumours he just brushes off, but the fact this one Simon's made a point to investigate and has got the police involved speaks volumes. I'm saying I think it's all true, but there are some very serious allegations made and could cost Simon millions and tarnish his record label. I think parts are, some are elaborated truth and parts (I hope) are not true at all.

If Ronan were to win and someone could prove in court that the show was rigged, I don't think BGT could recover. The show would be axed. There's so much to lose if these claims are true, perhaps that's why Cowell has called in the police!

I'm still confused as to why the police are investigating libel claims.

It's a criminal offence punishable by up to 6 months in prison to make a "malicious communication" known or believed to be false and intended to cause distress or anxiety.

Simon Cowell says that the alleged hoax which started all this falls into this category.

I thought applied to things like making threatening phone calls/letters and harrassment rather than one unsubstantiated internet blog article.

It includes "electronic communication" defined as "any communication (however sent) that is in electronic form".

Whether that covers an alleged hoax blog (which may or may not be proven to be related to a series of malicious tweets) would be up to the lawyers to argue about in court.

If this is a hoaxer he could be in major hot water.

That is the important word. By accusing SCowell and his company of grooming a child from the age of 10 and using his "sexuality" as part of that it could well be described as malicious. If the author cannot prove the allegation he/she could well be in a bit of trouble. Personally, as much as I dislike SCowell I would support him in this case if it is shown the allegations are untrue. And it does hurt to say that!

Ronan's mum was shown talking to the lunchtime ITV news.
Right now the way Jessica was treated upset me more than Ronan probably winning.

to have any credibility next year they need to remove simon from the judging panel on both BGT and X Factor.

Its ridiculous for him to be a judge and then say to Jessica that "the production team let her down" well hes the executive producer and in charge of BGT, the production team is his team so HE let her down.

And if he let her down he should be apologising not humiliating her live on tv.

I think the hatred for Simon started with him making nasty comments on Popidol. But its slowly growing into a huge hatred and resentment for the whole manipulation of the tv audience and the exploitation of every single person who appears on the programme

Exactly - HE let her down.
I think for BGT they should get someone who actually organises the RVP to judge - not Cowell.

He's not on the right track baby, but he was born that way.

Correct. The most disturbing aspect of the article was the undercurrent of homophobia in describing Syco emphasising the sexuality of a 12 year old. I also was shocked how quickly something that was so obviously fake to me was circulated across the internet and taken as gospel by so many people.

Simon Cowell has had so many exploitative issues with his programmes, he shouldnt be suprised if people now believe he is a faker.

He may well shout, scream and call in the police but his antics playing with peoples lives and futures shows scant regard of what harm he is doing.

His reputation has been damaged time and time again and it is down to one person only, Simon bloody Cowell.

its hard to believe that pop idol was 10 years ago.

i think its a testament to the stupidity of the viewing public that 10 years on people still watch and accept programmes where judges are so mean to people that they make them cry

Simon has been a lot more tactful and constructive in his criticism in the last few x factors. He was no where near as nasty as he used to be

But that all changed last night. And the nasty ****** from 10 years ago was back.

I honestly think the man has either no soul or hes a sociopath

And he's far more hands on than he lets on : he has the power of veto over what songs the acts perform and even has a say in what outfits the acts wear on the X Factor.

Isn't that a sad reflection on Cowell though? I bet if an email was circulated accusing Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue or Cheryl Cole of all sorts of shenanigans behind the scenes, many people would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

That explains why Michael and Razy are in the same semi-final!

Why make such an issue of this? The article may not be true but it feels to me that the kind of manipulation that goes on this show and the X Factor is becoming more and more widespread and frankly people are getting fed up of being sold a crock of shit.

The filling of the semi finals with dross to ensure the "right" acts go through, the same thing happening for the final. I mean last night we saw an old man dancing badly, a woman taking her dogs for a walk on stage and someone lighting candles - FFS?

People may be getting fed up with it but the ratings are still great
