Ronan will win BGT. Not by any fixing, not because he is the most talented but because all of those teenies with their mobiles who are going to be pressing the redial buttons on their mobiles faster than the speed of light. They won't care if they put their parents into debtors prison in the process. They are going to vote for him because they think that he is "well fit innit". They decided that on his first appearance before he even opened his mouth. Just as they voted for that other superstar, er! what's his name now, erm! Gawd I had it on the tip of me tongue a minute ago. Er! Ah! Samwich? No, Simpkins? Nah! Oh! I remember now, Sampson that's his name yeah! George Sampson. The greatest dancer the world had ever seen. He doesn't dance now though. I think he has a very minor role in a TV soap for the time being. Ah well! that's what you get when you let immature young girls run amok with their mobile phones.
How dare you suggest that I am just an old cynic.

probably

if we include this years final lineup, there have only been 4 female finalists out of 30 the past 3 years. 3 dotty older ladies and a little girl who threw a tantrum to get through

i think we can safely say what the bgt audience want

God, another 'blame the female gender for a result I don't like' thread.

Why would a 12 year old get the teenage vote? 15-18 year old guys get that vote, not kids.

It is a fact. young girls will vote to the death for a pretty boy whether he is the most talented or the worst. As far as they are concerned it is SEX. They voted for Sampson and they voted for Johnston but they did not vote for Escala nor Faryl Smith. Two vastly more talented acts than the boys. It will happen again this year. No female is ever going to win BGT if there is a pretty boy in the final. If you are having a bet put your shirt on Ronan you can't lose.

linking a 12 year old kid with 'SEX' disturbs me greatly.

My 11 brother doesn't see a similar aged girl on tv and says, 'damn i would love to tap that'.

Just plain wrong on many levels.

Ronan is 12, he hasn't reached puberty to be a sex symbol. It's rather creepy all these comments about a child from him being gay to girls voting for him for sexual reasons.

That's my view too. The people who vote for a 12-year-old boy who sings Feelin' Good are not likely to be teenage girls, they are more likely to be older people.

Sampson and Johnston both pre pubertal, it wasn't the older voters who voted them as 1st and 3rd it was the teenies with twitchy thumbs on their redial buttons.

How do you know? This older voter voted for George Sampson.

You really think that teenage girls are interested in 12 year old boys?

And? It's a talent show not an election for the next world leader. Don't get so hung up by it.

As others and myself have said on this thread and other threads, teenage girls will not find a 12 year old boy who looks about 9 hot!!!!

To the OP what age are these young females you are talking about, exactly??

I can see quite a few tweets from teenage girls on twitter saying they fancy him/think he's hot/want to marry him....

Then by admitting that you have demonstrated that you wouldn't recognise talent if it fell into your lap with a big label on it saying "This is talent". It was the pretty boy factor that attracted you.

It is supposed to be a talent show. Apart from Paul Potts the most talented performer in any year since has not won the competition. Some of the most talented have not made it into the top three. So what are the criteria for judging that the general public are using? Not talent that's for sure.

im not sure if its teen girls or not but suely there has to be some reason for the abysmal track record of women on bgt?

unless you are a dotty old lady you may as well not even bother trying

Somehow, I don't think it'll be the TEENAGE GIRLS who'll be voting for him...

Girls go for pop stars much older and guys who are hot. Ronan is like a little girl himself.

People said that about One Direction too, they couldn't pull in enough votes to beat the real talent.

Patronizing much? a) George Sampson isn't pretty and b) he was a child, and I assure you I am not attracted to children.

Exactly! teenage girls go for older boys, or those the same age. George Sampson was 14/15 plus he was a street dancer and didnt look like a choir boy. As sweet as Ronan is, he wont be getting girls of 15 or 16 fancying him.

I often bet on these kinds of shows - I have a look around forums and try to get a sense of whos popular. That year all the forums, that attract the younger crowds, were littered with comments about George: 'he's soo fit' etc. As soon as I saw all that I knew he would win, George was an outsider at 33/1 on the day of the final but never underestimate the teenage voters. £30 on George, that was a good days work

Ronan has the cute factor and he will still get plenty of votes but it will be because people think he's adorable and talented, not cause teeny girls want to get off with him..

They dont seem to put through many talented women, apart from Susan Boyle has any woman ever been a contender to win? I cant remember any. Even those who have been talented and get through just dont get the votes not sure why though.
