Buying a quad LNB for my Humax
Phil Owens
03-06-2011
I am thinking of buying this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-SKY-MK4-QU...ht_1803wt_1139
The seller has a very good rating.. He tells me that this LNB will fit MK3 & MK4 Sky dishes (Dishes up to 6 years old approx)
My dish is older than that so will it fit?

As it comes with a free 'legacy' adaptor you should be fine.

Thanks, that's what I thought, just checking. As I need cable and fittings I thought this was a good deal http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SKY-MK4-QUAD-L...ht_1897wt_1139 although I could do with twin cable....

I bought a new Sharp quad LNB on eBay very cheaply.
It was clearly made for Sky but did not fit the rectangular steel box-section on my old Sky dish,
However I just cut away one side of the plastic mount leaving an 'L' shape and fitted it by drilling two small holes and using plated self-tapping screws. ( I took the arm off the diish to do this). All worked fine. You may need to move the dish slightly.
