Just read the DC Comics are having a major reboot this September, the result of which is they're resetting all their comics to #1 (as well as redesigning the characters).

Guess my chance of being around for Detective Comics Issue #1000 has gone from pretty likely, to no 'kin chance now

Though all is not completely bad, cos maybe in this reboot they'll kill of Damien.

I suspect they are going to lose a lot of older readers who were emotionally invested in the established continuity with this move.

^ they could have lost me when Damien came on the scene but he's been thankfully kept in the background most of the time (don't follow the B+R title).

Then I could have left as they decided to kill of Batman right around the time the credit crunch hit and I was looking for ways to save money. But my comic store was having delivery problems, so no deliveries meant no money being spent.

Now with this......

Maybe all their "toeing the line at 2.99" thing they've done has hit'm where it hurts and they'll use the #1ness to jack up the prices once more. Also having a shed loads of #1s and I'm guessing a shed load of new titles, all forming an important integral part to a major storyline means it might just be a case of you have to buy everything otherwise you won't know what the frell is going on - though I may be worrying over nothing.
