there definitely seems to be a connection between the speed with which time passes and the airing of a series of Doctor Who.

Mind you that said, Saturdays seem to crawl forward at a snails pace...

Can't believe the day of The River Song reveal! I'm thoroughly enjoying the Squillions of theories, although I know some forum members think there has been too many.

For my part I think; there's more to Rory than we think, The River reveal will be complicated and this episode will be breathtaking.

Barely had any spare time this week so I've avoided all spoilers and I think I'm going to go into tonight's episode relatively "clean" as it were! Can't wait all the same.

So, so, so, so many questions. Come on Moffat, knock us out.

Guardian preview:

For a while there it looked like interloper and gifted 'amateur' Neil Gaiman was going to walk away with all the writing praise for this series. This week showrunner Steven Moffat delivers an epic adventure to remind us all Who's boss- he does this for a living and it shows. The doctor pools all his resources and rallies the troops to rescue Amy in what is the most self referential yet completely accessible episode to date. There's a long wait for the show to return in September but Moffat ensures we're left with smiles on our faces and tears in our eyes. Outstanding

Sounds like a positive ending

In 2 1/2 hours we will be watching A Good Man Goes To War! This has to be one of the most hyped episodes ever, I cannot wait.

If it wasn't up against the BGT final, it would get huge ratings. As it is, I think the BBC 3 repeat and timeshift views will be at an all-time high. And I still think it'll hold up very well against BGT due to the "big" nature of the episode. If this was, say, The Curse of the Black Spot, ratings would plummet, but I think it's hard for even casual viewers not to have heard about how massive this episode is.

Oh my word, the excitement.

Spoiler
That The character credited as "jenny" in this episode could actually be the young River, and that this is where the Doctor meets her?,thats not to say that she isnt also Amy's baby, but maybe thats why River cant go there yet, because there are already two of them in the same time[/SPOILER

Just a wild theory on my part

I have also wondered if she is

Spoiler
Gwens child from torchwood

Did anyone catch the trailer before Eastenders last night? I was freaking out after it. It definitely looks like it has the right title as A Good Man Goes To War.

I'm really looking forward to tonight's episodes - but with one small caveat.

If River Song *does* turn out to be Amy's baby (as has been widely rumoured) - I'm going to absolutely GUTTED. Devastated even.

I would actually consider not returning as a viewer in September, I feel that strongly about it.

I'm open to anyything else - but that would just be BEYOND lame. I am praying it's just some shockingly poor fan-fic, or planted info, to throw us off the trail of the *real* reveal.

You might want to start making plans for finding something to keep yourself busy on Saturday evenings then!

I cannot wait. Especially with Rory's "Where is my wife?" being constantly shown.

I just had a theory coming in to my head.

If River is Amy's daughter it would make sense because when Amy didn't feel well in the first episode neither did River, It reminds me of Charmed in which whatever happened to Baby Chris happened to Future Chris.

How did I only just catch on to that clue?!

I'm terrified they are going to go to the end credits as River says "I am really...." and keep us hanging on until September

Do you seriously think it will be as lame as "oh yeh, by the way, Amy you're my Mummy?" - even if it does turn out to be her daughter there's no wy it's going to be simple / boring.

Is it too early to sit in front of the TV and snarl menacingly at anyone who tries to change the channel?
