I don't think they would ever risk fixing the actual votes. But the manipulation, of order, provided songs and production can help sway the votes by alot

Well could write down that tese were the following voting figures:

1039439844
1298271982718
2382489483744
321271276

Who's to say im a liar or not? Its quite easy just to give figures out.

It's all made-up. Look at Simon Cowell tonight. He was so bored or tired of the format he wanted the girl with the dog and the singer to go through! He couldn't even care about the rules.

I think you're missing the point. People aren't saying the voting figures are fixed (although it isn't totally beyond the realm of possibility).
What they are saying is that people can be influenced in who they vote for by clever production, editing, the running order etc.

Its like advertising where people are influenced into buying certain things not necessarily because its the best for them or even looks/tastes the best but because the advertising has subconsciously convinced them to think of that brand when they're buying.

Cynical head on: BGT semis "Its' the public vote" but only for a percentage, the judges seem to have the final say, just in case one gets through that they don't want maybe?

Lat night Dancer or Dog Act? The public vote could well have plumped for the dog act, but that was/could have been side lined and ignored and who 'they' wanted went though

or am I reading it wrong ?

Surely they have independent adjudicaters to do the vote counting?

Also online push for the picked ones.

Why do they have a judges vote if it isn't to fix it?

How can they unanimously put through a woman bashing out of time on a keyboard instead of the magic act that they were singing the praises of earlier?

If it's not fixed why have they got so little actual variety in the final when they could have a magic act instead of ANOTHER keyboard player?

Why is it all music related?

Why do they pick the singers songs for them if it's not fixed?

Why do they have an ad break straight after the phone lines close and then the judges act like they haven't been told the result?

Why can't the voting figures be released live on air? Why is it that we have to wait until it doesn't matter?

All this and much much more never gets addressed by Simon live on air or anywhere else.

Why?

ITV handle the voting via a third party company, niether of whom do Simon Cowell have anything to do with. It is ITV that release the voting figures, not Syco.

But ITV are not impartial. They would go along with any fixing if it meant keeping the show that earns them 200K every ad break and 15million viewing figures.

As I said, this show being a fix would hardly be the shock of the century would it??? Stranger things have happened

All the fixing is in the manipulation of the show ie. who the judges (I mean Cowell) pick to compete with their winner, the running order, song choices, styling and so on... not in the telephone voting.

Diversity won because Susan would have done well anyway and she did, if Diversity had came second they wouldn't have commanded such fees for appearances or had the running success they've had as "winners"...

The fact that Simon makes money out of the losers aswell as the winner leads to me to the conclusion it's pointless to vote. I like watching the show though.

And it's this logic that leads me to believe Ronan will not win tonight but will have a contract with Syco regardless of him losing.
