Hi DSers,

I've recently been having trouble with you phone. It's a Nokia E71, I'm with Three and have 4 months contract left.

Recently my phone has developed some "quirks". It won't put people's names next to texts (think this must be a phone issue) and also won't receive texts properly.

I will receive no texts, then by turning my phone off and on again, the "missing" texts will arrive. As you can imagine, this is a pain and has led to me missing lots of texts. I am not sure if this is phone-based or network based.

I have already tried restoring to factory settings and downloading the latest updates, no joy. Can't seem to find an answer on their website either.

Any help much Appreciated.

Emmy xx

But I don't want to go through the stress of changing network if the handset is the problem

I think you need to try doing a factory reset of your phone, if the texts are coming through straight away after you reboot it then it sounds like a phone issue.

Sorry for dumb question, but is that the same as "restore factory settings"?

Yes but anything not stored on the SD card (if you have one) will be wiped
