Matt Smith has a natural eccentricity that sort of makes him the Doctor.

Tom had it. Pert had it. Bill had it. Trought had it.

I am not convinced any of the others had it who came after and Tennant never convinced me as the eccentricities didnt come naturally and he had to act them generally by dreadful gurning and teeth flashing.

Matt is the best Doctor since the seventies and as added bonus he loves the role.

It's like Matt's performance is effortless. He does not even have to try. Two lines and he can convince us he's a time traveling alien who's hundreds of years old. People have said the series is too confusing, that Amy's annoying etc but everyone is pretty much agreed Matt Smith is a superb Doctor. Tbh he's surpassed Tennant for me.

Every episode, I love him a little more.
When he suddenly screamed 'I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS!?' - I knew that he would have my heart forever.
I would so wreck him, given half a chance.

Thought tonight's episode was Matt's best performance this series so far...

I hadn't got the faintest idea what was going on at any point during A Good Man Goes To War. Utterly bewildering and baffling. Despite all that, Matt, Karen and Arthur remain real favourites.
