Ridiculous comment. The Royals shouldn't be above criticism, comment or ridicule. We are living in the 21st century not the late 19th century. We no longer have to defer to the establishment.

The Queen will be a member of the audience at the Royal Variety Performance that the winner of BGT will perform in.

I don't think I'm being unduly cynical if I say that people will pay good money for a seat at that show to watch acts that do not necessarily appeal to them simply because the Queen or other member of the royal family will be there. The Queen's presence is good for the charity.

She's only there every other year though as she alternates with Charles and Camilla. If you recall, their car was atacked by the protestors last year!

Do you think the Queen watches the show and thinks, "No, don't put that pile of crap through! I don't want to see that rubbish in December!!"
