It's highly unlikely that my lighthearted humour with no malicious intent has much to do with the state of this country. For if it did, then the country would indeed be in a state

Yes I do.

Lets face it, even the Royal Family must have a sense of humour. Have you never heard Prince Philips gaffs? Is he responsible for the state of the country in your opinion because of them?

Nothing I have posted is malicious. If you find them offensive that is your opinion. I'm allowed to express mine in a lighthearted fashion, it's called 'lightening up' if you prefer.

Lightening up?

That is reverse-racism you know... how very dare you!

No wonder this country is in the state that it is in!

LOL!

I hope you never have any dark days (days when you feel down that is). That wouldn't be correct either

Ridiculous comment. The Royals shouldn't be above criticism, comment or ridicule. We are living in the 21st century not the late 19th century. We no longer have to defer to the establishment.

The Queen will be a member of the audience at the Royal Variety Performance that the winner of BGT will perform in.

The Royal Variety Performance is a charity fund-raising event for the Entertainment Artistes’ Benevolent Fund
http://www.eabf.org.uk/

The Queen is Patron of the charity.

I don't think I'm being unduly cynical if I say that people will pay good money for a seat at that show to watch acts that do not necessarily appeal to them simply because the Queen or other member of the royal family will be there. The Queen's presence is good for the charity.

She's only there every other year though as she alternates with Charles and Camilla. If you recall, their car was atacked by the protestors last year!

Do you think the Queen watches the show and thinks, "No, don't put that pile of crap through! I don't want to see that rubbish in December!!"

Prince Philip has told previous RVP acts what he really thought of them.

"What do you gargle with - pebbles?" To Tom Jones, after the Royal Variety Performance, 1969. He added the following day: "It is very difficult at all to see how it is possible to become immensely valuable by singing what I think are the most hideous songs."

"I wish he'd turn the microphone off!" The Prince expresses his opinion of Elton John's performance at the 73rd Royal Variety Show, 2001.

If I were the Queen I'd have my finger on the redial button at voting times simply to ensure that at least a half decent act gets through.

The crap that poor women has to sit through at times.

At least we can turn the tv off, over or mute it. She can hardly get up and leave lol.
