So after a long wait since the last round, I am back and results will soon be revealed!

And after 28 rounds and 300 characters, The final results are now in!

But before we find out the winner we must find out the fate of the other characters, with 300 characters that is quite a big number and with lots of draws in the first round I couldn't even start to put numbers 300-130 in order, so the countdown will just involved the top 129; although lots of fantastic characters were lost in those rounds, only the best could make the top 130!

So without further ado, lets start the countdown!

Now we move onto the top 62 which started the ranking rounds, each character will include a description

62. Minnie Caldwell
5.69% (Top 62)

Finishing at the bottom of the ranking rounds is Minnie Caldwell, 60s character and friend of Corrie legend Ena Sharples. Minnie was a great character and some people may be upset that she didnít finish higher, but considering she is mostly forgotten about these days she has done pretty well.

61. Alan Bradley
5.98% (Top 62)

Just outside the top 60 is Corrie villain and tram victim Alan Bradley. Alan was a great villain at his time on the show and was horrible towards poor Rita, despite not appearing since the 80s he still receives a pretty high ranking.

=60. Martin Platt
6.18% (Top 62)

At 60th is ex lover of Gail, Martin Platt. Martin appeared in 30 years of corrie and most of his storylines involved the ups and downs of his marriage too Gail until he left in 2005 after the actor refused to be involved in a pedophile storyline.

=60. Maud Grimes
6.18% (Top 62)

Joint with Martin is mother of Reg Holdsworth, Maud Grimes. Most of Maudís storylines included her trying to break up the marriage of her son Reg and his wife Maureen. I found Maud hilarious, and Iím glad she finished this high.

58. Tracy Barlow
6.24% (Top 62)

At 58th is bitch and daughter of Deirdre, Tracy Barlow. Considering her reputation on digital spy, Iím surprised she finished this high- however despite a shaky return she does seem to be growing on people (me included.)

57. Eddie Yeats
6.39% (Top 62)

At 57th is comedy legend and lodger of the Ogdens, Eddie Yeats. Eddie was a very popular character at his time and I thought he may have ranked a bit higher, however considering he hasnít appeared since the 80s heís doing pretty well.

56. Becky McDonald
6.62% (Top 62)

Next up is a more recent character, Becky McDonald. Coming onto the street as a criminal, Becky has mellowed after striking a friendship with the croppers and marrying Steve McDonald, however recently the characterís life has gone downhill and I canít help thinking sheíd be ranked higher if this was done last year.

55. Janice Battersby
6.63% (Top 62)

At 55 is loudmouth Janice Battersby. Janice was married to Les Battersby when she first joined the street but after there break up Janice was mostly seen in the factory, and usually getting into trouble due to her big mouth. Having recently left the street, Janice isnít everyoneís cup of tea but Iíve always been quite fond of her.

54. Rosie Webster
6.69% (Top 62)

Next up is older Webster daughter, Rosie Webster. Rosie has had many big storylines, and recently has become more popular due to her starting to become more of a comedy character instead of a whiny brat. However this wasnít enough to push her into the top 50.

=53. Graeme Proctor
6.99% (Top 62)

Next up is more recent comedy character Graeme Proctor. Originally coming in as a friend of David Platt, Graeme has become very popular with viewers over the year- however after a pickle with the visa Graeme is soon to leave the street.

=53. Tyrone Dobbs
6.99% (Top 62)

In joint 53rd place is unlucky in love Tyrone Dobbs. More of a recent character, Tyrone has seen his life fall apart in the last few months after getting the ultimate betrayal from his best friend and wife, however he is a very likeable character and has ranked high.

51. Percy Sugden
7.25% (Top 62)

Just finishing outside the top 50 is one of the older characters, Percy Sugden. Having been a cook for the army, Percy carried world war 2 memories with him, and was always trying to fight of Phyllis Pearce's attraction to him despite his lack of interest in her.

50. Albert Tatlock
7.27% (Top 62)

Starting of the top 50 is another war veteran and original character, Albert Tatlock. Despite being very grumpy, Albert was a popular character and was considered a legend even after the character died. However in recent years he would have been forgotten more, and I'm actually quite suprised he did this well.

49. Len Fairclough
7.32% (Top 62)

Completing a string of older characters is Len Fairclough. Len was the original owner of the Weatherfield building firm, and had a partnership with Jerry Booth. Len had a love interest in Rita Littlewood, who he bought the newsagent The Kabin for her which she still owns to this day.

48. Natalie Barnes
7.35% (Top 62)

At 48th is Natalie Barnes, famous for originally breaking up Kevin and Sally Webster's marriage. After starting an affair with Kevin Sally divorced him and they started a relationship, however this made Natalie hated on the street leading her to end the relationship, and after a string of more love affairs she left the street.

47. Derek Wilton
7.45% (Top 62)

Next up is love interest for Mavis Riley, Derek Wilton. Derek was probably most famous for his relationship with Mavis, who after both jilting each other at the alter, married a few years later and stayed married until Derek's death.

46. Julie Carp
7.58% (Top 62)

Possibly one of the bigger suprises of this competition, Julie Carp finishes 46th. Despite being a more recent character viewers have recently taken a big liking to Julie after a shaky start, and clearly from this poll she has become very popular. Forever unlucky in love, will Julie ever find the perfect man?

45. David Platt
7.64% (Top 62)

Next up is troubled son of Gail, David Platt. After suffering from his mothers disastrous marriage to serial killer Richard Hillman, David became troubled and desperately tried to make his mothers life a living hell. Recently David has got married to Kylie Turner and attempted to get custody of her child Max.

44. Kevin Webster
7.84% (Top 62)

At 44 is long standing character Kevin Webster. Kevin has been in corrie since the 80s and usually I think he is quite an underrated character however I think his recent affair with Molly could have put him down in some voters rankings. In the process of divorcing the love of his life, can Kevin get his life back on track?

43. Curly Watts
8.02% (Top 62)

At 43 is comedy character Curly, named Curly because of his straight hair. Despite being quite awkward Curly found love originally with the loveable Raquel Wolstenhulme, and the nice but slightly boring Emma Taylor. After 20 years on the street, Curly left in 2003 with Emma and their children Alice and Ben.

Thanks for doing this, I have my fingers crossed for Blanche!

Hope John Stape will be in the top 10.
He wasn't even in the last rounds of voting so no he won't be. There was never any chance of such a new character reaching the top 10 in a best ever characters poll anyway.

Oh yes you're right, he did have a daughter but with Raquel not Emma. In don't think Alice was ever seen on screen was she? I just remember Raquel coming back in that one episode and telling him he had a daughter.

She came back for Curly and Emma's wedding - think that was it though

42. Toyah Battersby
8.22% (Top 62)

Next up is daughter of Janice Battersby, Toyah. Toyah was slightly more normal then the rest of her family, however she was still popular with viewers and recieved some big storylines- including her relationship with Spider Nugent and a rape. She left in 2003 to live in London with Spider.

41. Liam Connor
8.34% (Top 62)

Finishing outside the top 40 is ladies favourite Liam Connor. Most of his storylines included his relationships with women, including his marriage to Maria, which ended in an affair with Carla Connor. The affair had disastrous consequences after Carla's fiance Tony arranged a hit and run to kill Liam.

40. Phyllis Pearce
8.50% (Top 62)

Next up is the purple haired Phyllis Pearce. Despite her age, Phyllis was young at heart and found herself attracted to Percy Sugden, despite his obvious lack of interest in her. Phyllis is one of my favourite older characters and I'm glad, and quite suprised that she ended up ranking this high.

39. Alf Roberts
8.55% (Top 62)

At 39th is husband of Audrey Roberts, Alf. Alf Married Audrey for the later part of his life, but was married to corner shop owner Renee Bradshaw up until his death. Alf was an Independant councillor in Weatherfield and was awarded and O.B.E for his work, he died in 1999 after suffering a stroke.

38. Tony Gordon
9.31% (Top 62)

Next up is noughties Corrie villain, Tony Gordon. Originally from scotland, Tony was brought in as a love interest for Carla Connor. However there relationship was strained after Carla had an affair with Liam Connor, and Tony arranged for him to be killed the night before there wedding. Tony bowed out of weatherfield after keeping Hayley, Maria and Carla hostage and dying in the fire.

37. Shelley Unwin
9.40% (Top 62)

Next up is Corrie victim, Shelley Unwin. Shelley had two major relationships on her time in the soap, the first one being Peter Barlow who she married, until she found out he was a bigamist and was married to florist Lucy Richards! She had another disastrous relationship with Charlie Stubbs who domestically abused her until she finally said no at the alter of her wedding day. She also went on a date with Eric Gartside, played by no other then Peter Kay!

36. John Stape
10.32% (Top 62)

Coming in at 36th is slightly comical villain John Stape. All John wanted to do was become a teacher, but he always seemed to do the wrong thing which made him end up keeping Rosie Webster hostage, impersonating Colin Fishwick before burying him in underworld, accidently killing Charlotte Hoyle and Joy Fishwick and keeping Chesney and the hoyles hostage. His storyline cumulated last week after he jumped of a building viewed by his wife Fiz and daughter Hope, falling to his death- or was it?

35. Mavis Wilton
10.50% (Top 62)

Next up is friend of Rita Sullivan and shop assistant of the Kabin, Mavis Wilton. I loved the character of Mavis and was gutted and suprised that she didn't make the top 32- though maybe she has been forgotten or not heard of by some voters. Mavis had a love interest in Derek Wilton who she got married to after previously double jilting at the alter. However after Derek died Mavis decided it was her time to leave the street aswell, and she has not been seen since.

34. Gail McIntyre
10.65% (Top 62)

In 34th is long standing, unlucky in love Gail McIntyre. Some people were suprised when Gail didn't make the top 32, however I didn't expect her too as she is disliked by some of the members of digital spy. Gail has had many big storylines before her first appearance in coronation street, most notably being her disastrous marriage to Richard Hillman- who turned out to be a murderer! Recently she has been continuing to look after her kids and she attempts to find a job and a new man.

33. Mike Baldwin
11.14% (Top 62)

Just missing out on the top 32 is Mike Baldwin, someone I was quite suprised that they didn't make it! Mike was a business man who owned Business Casuals, Mike had many relationships on his time in corrie, most notably one being an affair with Deirdre- which Ken didn't take lightly too. Mike died in 2006 after a battle with alzheimer's, in Ken's arms claiming that 'Deirdre loved him!'

When you think about all the characters that have been in the last 50 years, 36 is probably higher than he deserves. I remember when David The Wavid did the top 50 countdown for the 50th anniversary, and in the top 200 he came around 180th

I really liked Liam at the time but looking back all he really was was a good bit of male eye-candy. He certainly wasn't someone whose character developed over time so
41 is probably quite a generous placing actually. I can't actually remember much about the Liam Connor pre-Liarla.

Same here.

I know it's a soap and the truth must always come out in a soap besides which he can't be sen to get away with it but it's such a shame. He came out of that hospital determined to put the past behind him and not commit any more crimes and he did keep that promise he made himself for a while. Even when he had that second breakdown he didn't really commit any crime during it, just tried to give the Hoyles money fromJoy's inheritance. When he was put back on medication ghe said he would do nothing to take him away from Fiz and Hope ever again and he didn't do anything. It was Chesney who went burrowing into the past and then visiting the Hoyles. Though if John had told some of the truth (not all) Chesney might have left him alone.

We are now on the top 32, which included all the characters who made it through the top 62 battling out for a place in the top 16

32. Jim McDonald
7.84% (Top 32)

Finishing at the bottom of the top 32 but still holding up a good ranking, is Irish charmer Jim McDonald. Steve always seemed to do the wrong things and ended up in prison, despite this he always loved 'Elizabeth' and would do anything for her. This included him holding a bank hostage in a recent appearance, before ending up in jail one more time. I think Jim's recent appearance may have helped him get a higher ranking.

31. Karen McDonald
8.59% (Top 32)

Just outside the top 30 is iconic underworld machinist, Karen McDonald. She strangely married Steve McDonald after a £10 with Janice Battersby, however this wasn't enough for Karen so she divorced him just to have the marriage of her dreams, which ended up disastrously after Tracy Barlow revealed that Steve was actually the father of her daughter Amy. Despite this Karen stayed with Steve but it was not easy, and she left the street in christmas 2004.

30. Stan Ogden
9.24% (Top 32)

At 30, a place where some may feel is too low for him is Stan Ogden. At there time on the show Stan and Hilda were possibly the most popular couple in the soaps, and still remain a legendary soup couple. Stan was a great comedy character and had many classic moments along with his wife Hilda, until his emotional death in 1984.

29. Alma Halliwell
9.56% (Top 32)

Next up is Alma Halliwell, caterer and wife of Mike Baldwin. Alma married Mike, however the couple frequently argued and after Don Brennan felt Mike had ruined his life, he abducted Alma and drove her into a canal! However Alma survived and lived a few more years on the street until she died of cervical cancer after emotional scenes.

28. Alec Gilroy
9.86% (Top 32)

At 28 is rovers landlord and husband of Bet Lynch, Alec Gilroy. Alec started off managing clubs, but later married landlady of the Rovers- Bet Lynch and therefore became landlord. Alec and Bet were happy but were a bit of an odd couple as they were both quite different, and in 1992 Alec left Weatherfield and Bet to become master of ceremonies at a cruise ship. He returned to Weatherfield in 1996 but left in 1998 to start a wine bar with his granddaughter Vicky.

27. Emily Bishop
9.93% (Top 32)

In 27th is longstanding religous Emily Bishop. Emily originally appeared in the 60s, and despite being the good seed of the street she has always had her fair share of heartbreaks including the murder of her husband, marrying a bigamist and suffering a mental breakdown. Despite this Emily is still standing strong on the street, despite not having as many storylines these days she is respected on the street and still considered a legend.

26. Liz McDonald
10.36% (Top 32)

Next up is Liz McDonald, fiery rovers landlady and love interest for Jim McDonald. Liz was happily married to Jim but sometimes his temper got the better of him and he ended up abusing Liz leading to the breakdown of there marriage. Despite this Liz was never short of men in her life, but kept going back to Jim. After a short break Liz returned to the rovers in 2011 and started a relationship with Jim, however after Jim held a bank hostage Liz decided it was time to say goodbye to the rovers and the street for good.

25. Leanne Barlow
10.47% (Top 32)

At 25th is troublesome Battersby daughter Leanne. Leanne was a trouble teenager and was never far from trouble, this included an early marriage to Nick Tilsley and becoming a prostitute. However in her later years she has mellowed and started a happy relationship with Peter, which she almost lost after an ill-fated affair with ex husband Nick Tilsley, However Peter forgave her and she is now happy with him and his son Simon.
