Now let me clarify im not saying he is amazing or anything. I have friends who play the piano who can play faster etc...but it was definitely 10X better than playing slow,dull rubbish pop songs.

And it isnt actually hard to compose music. I had to compose 3 pieces for music GCSE, 2 for AS Level and 2 for A Level.

Hmm no. I've played since the age of 7 so about 16 years. He's played for 3 years I think? He's a hell of a lot better than me.

I teach piano, cello and music theory.
He's a very average pianist, I have grade 5 students who could play better.

5 years apparently. Almost completely self taught too. &without even having a piano or keyboard at home!
In an interview he said he'd play at church and stay for 10 hours at a stretch! That's dedication!

My son's a grade 5 jazz pianist and he's impressed by him!

Don't be so flaming patronising! It's not hard to compose music, but it is hard to compose decent music! I was impressed that he'd composed it himself and I have every right to be, thank you very much!

Umm i simply answered when someone implied my compositions were not decent. Clearly the exam body thought so.
I don't see the point in bickering and arguing over it.
He clearly is very talented - it's just the level of talent you're rowing over.
I'd rather see someone like him than a Britney impersonator for instance, strippers or a bulging popeye!
