The Doctor's Wife.

Although I did love AGMGTW - I was spoiler free but still guessed all the plot twists though.

Tough call out of Day of the Moon, The Doctor's Wife and A Good Man Goes to War. I think I need to watch this one back again to decide for sure.

Me too. It would be between this and The Doctor's Wife for me. But I have seen TDW a few times now, so I will have to have at least one more watch of AGMGTW before I can decide for sure.

That was actually hard to pick just one

Very difficult to pick just one, I loved 4 of them and the other 3 were very good. I think it has to be AGMGTW, even before anything really happened it was already brilliant.

Please add an option: Whole series.

I thought nothing could be better than the doctors wife but the last ep was incredible.

Doctor's Wife was a Masterclass in Writing. Superb from start to end.

The Doctor's Wife, surprisingly followed by The Curse of the Black Spot. Moffat has disappointed me with his episodes this year, though AGMGTW was far better than the American 2-parter.

If you want a big bombastic spectacular with an apparent cast of thousands then AGMGTW is it.
If you want a beautifully constructed ensemble piece with a minimal but brilliant cast, then "The Doctor's Wife" is that in spades.
I know which I preferred.

The Doctor's Wife.

It would have been ' A Good Man...' but while I loved the episode, ever since Amy Pond was named, she's been linked to River Song.

The reveal just wasn't that unexpected and it needed to be to kick it ahead of TDW. For me anyway.

If you were to ask this question again at Christmas, chances are the response would be different. AGMGTW is likely to win due to it being fresh in our memories. I for one thought AGMGTW was a mix-match of convolution. A chance to say "Hey look at what we can do!" The reveal was predictable and ambiguous, and Moffat says it now leaves more questions to be answered. I don't want any more questions., I just want to see an adventure series that see the Doctor and his companions travel to different places in their tardis, fight off aliens and monsters and go somewhere else next week.

Just exactly what was the exciting cliffhanger today? It was just River saying "I'm Melody, I'm your Daughter" and then everyone going "Ooh isn't Steven Moffat clever?" Well, no. He isn't.

I LOVE every single one of them so it is a very difficult choice - I've gone with this weeks though.

Have to agree with this unfortunately. I want to know who River is in the Doctor's eye. I thought the cliffhanger was both underwhelming and predictable.
