They need to turn up in the next series of Sherlock.

the srah jane adventures are probably over now that their lead character sadly passed away. so their is likely a gap in the market for a new spin off. i think this is what their inclusion in the episode was for.

Hasn't it already been confirmed that there will be no more SJA after the already existing new episodes?

I think the audience for SJA is somewhat different than a spin-off regarding a lesbian alien-and-her-maid in the Victorian era, tbh. It might be too grown-up for some children (though I don't doubt that if it was toned down for the children's market, adults like myself would still be watching it!)

I don't think the Doctor would go for a companion that eats the bad guys. I'm definitely sure CBBC wouldn't.

It could become a running gag
Madame Vastra: Can I eat him now?
Doctor: No, you many not!
Madame Vastra: Not even a nibble?
Doctor: Okay, but only if he doesn't tell us what we need to know.
Bad Guy: I'll Talk! I'll Talk!

lol-and there's the poster strap line.

Totally agree with the thread, loved these two, they were fab, and interesting and Vastra's teeth were spellbinding. I know her tongue got all the attention, but seriously, those teeth were awesome.

Especially when they should have had lots of stringy Jack the Ripper bits stuck between them

I think that's why I was so mesmerised. Like-really?!

A carnivorous girlfriend would be a little off putting for most-Jenny is fearless!!!

Agree with this, 2 great characters. Completely missed the lesbian jokes the first time I watched it!

Did think it was completely random that she was living in victorian London killing serial killers though lol

Oh I don't know, perhaps she likes the idea of being eaten.

LMAO-you went there.

I love the idea of a spin off with these guys, maybe they could have a web series. The world at large may not be ready for the whole concept.

Well put it this way; Madame Vastra obviously wasn't purely carnivorous, as she obviously enjoyed eating beans, too.

Too far?

0.o

Could you imagine a spin off series like this? it'd be full of Lesbian jokes. It would make Torchwood look tame!

Could you imagine Jack if he met these two? I know he can't die, but he'd probably still have a heart attack form the excitement!

Great call!

I thought she stole the show in the episode - but imagined it was only me who would have thought that!

Think any spin-off would need to be post-watershed, unless, as someone suggested, they toned it right down and used the spin-off as a SJA replacement!

I also think that the maid could be a bit less "Dick (ooo-err-missus) Van Dyke(ooo-er-missus)" though!

Apologies to anyone who is offended by the non-PC and blatantly "Carry On" type comments!

Let's petition the Beeb!

"She's definately a girl."
"Oh, stop it!"

I think that there is a space in the schedules for a series about a Victorian crime fighting lizard and her sidekick/girlfriend.

Was Jenny the Doctor's Daughter regenerated? It deserves a spin off if she is.

People said this about Jenny in the Doctors Daughter. Still waiting for this apparently blatant spin off series to start...

Watching the repeat last Night.
I really do think this could be the Moffs Torchwood.
The characters were strong the idea and setting perfect. It's like we had known them for a long long time.
