They used on slag word "sick" and all of a sudden they are Ali G. Apart from the one word, I didn't hear them say "innit blud" or anything of the sort.

Do these guys know that the Ali G character was mocking guys who talk like that, it wasn't something to copy.

That's why Ali G was spot on.
I'm a primary school teacher, and I can safely say that many of my pupils speak like that, so it's nothing new.
Because they're hip young kids and not pretentious cùnts who think they have a dictionary like vocabulary.
Because when Ronan is (unfortunately) announced as the winner in under an hour's time they can use that old joke recently recycled by the boyfriend of the new judge on X-Factor America:

But it's a make believe accent, it has no known home anywhere in the known world, these kids put that accent on for effect, it's not a genuine way of talking.

At times like this I wish DS had a like button a la Facebook.
Not one for slag myself being 35 and all, but as long as I can understand what someone is saying, I don't see an issue with teenagers using slang within their speech. Its part of life, the comparisons to Ali G are ridiculous and supremely ignorant

Loved these guys tonight - sound and soul perfect! They are so polite and are articulate.
They may be very young but are a great example of the youngsters in the wings!
